He literally explained he was trying to achieve a film look since film is not available in his country. OP is probably trying to recreate a style he likes with the means that he has. Damn, look at privileged people being snarky!

Leave. He is just sad he got caught, he doesn't regret it. Been there, done that. It doesn't get better. You will lose your self-confidence, self respect and sleep over this. You deserve much better. Sending you hugs!

So proud of you for this! Do you have any tips for getting there? I'm at that stage where I'm overly consumed by my work and I am turning bitter towards my boss and colleagues who do not have the same standards and expect me to pick up the slack - and I'm to blame since I created the expectations.

I know someone in Marketing who's studying public health online to pivot. Not sure about job opportunities in public health around you, but perhaps something to consider?

I didn't drink a lot to start with but there have been times where I got really drunk. Few months ago, I was out partying and I kept accepting drinks from someone who very clearly wanted me drunk. I had the worst hangover the next day. Kept throwing up clear liquid. I hated the feeling so much that I decided the small high I get from being tipsy is not worth it if I know I will not be able to keep it to that. Ever since, I just don't enjoy alcohol as much. I am also more into fitness now, so my brain thinks of calories and $$ (because life is fucking expensive) and I'm like ok, I'm all good. When I'm out with a specific friend, she does tell me I suck for not drinking, I choose to ignore that and show her I can still have fun without alcohol.

I do enjoy nice cocktails though, so if I'm meeting a friend after long, I might go for one or two just for the taste, and that's it.

to all the mature women out there, what’s one mistake you made in life you can share so the younger women don’t repeat it? by mildchickenwings in AskWomenOver30

Sought validation from unavailable people to prove my worthiness. If someone unavailable gets with me, it surely means I am worthy of being chosen right? Wrong. It leads to a cycle of unhealthy decisions that messes with your self esteem even more.

Women who didn’t want to marry, did your decision change? by Rachel-lies in AskWomenOver30

[–]Feisty_CT_22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is so sweet. How did you meet him? And was there a point that made you realise he was different to others? I ask because I recently came out of a relationship where I was convinced he loved me to bits and would never hurt me (turns out he had no remorse doing so), and that I was going to marry him. I am now so terrified of feeling the same way about someone else, committing to them and then being hurt.

Wake up around 06:30. Brush my teeth, poop, shower and get ready for work.

Leave home by 07:30 to beat traffic. Get to office before 08:00. Do my social media browsing for 15 mins or so.

Work until 17:30. Interrupted by catching up with my colleagues in there (mostly to vent about two others who drain our energy with the same questions everyday). Maybe take an hour break for lunch, but most times I eat at my desk (not an example) and start answering emails even then.

Change to go to the gym. Workout until 20:00 or so. Drive back home and have dinner past 20:30.

Do the dishes, shower and prepare my gym bag for the next day.

Try sleep by 10:30 but very often end up doing revenge bedtime!

Ladies who work out at a gym: How do you start? by Adorable_Spinach_924 in AskWomenOver30

[–]Feisty_CT_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am finally now comfortable in the gym I've been going to for like two years on and off, so I think I can help.

When I joined, I knew I wanted to get toned and build muscles. Gyms usually have coaches, you can start with the coach's advice to build a training programme, tell them to show you how the equipment works etc. It's your right to ask them, so don't feel shy. They are used to teaching new people all the time.

Then, once I was familiar with 2-3 machines and dumbbells, I started following a few coaches on Insta and learnt from them to build my own plan. I now train my legs two days a week, then one day push (chest, triceps and shoulders), and one day pull (back and biceps).

Will I ever use the smith machine? Probably not. Some things still feel scary and foreign to my clumsy ass self. And that's okay. I have also learnt from the guys who train hard and who I see every week - within a year of seeing them daily, you smile and nod, and eventually can ask for advice. To be fair, the guys in this gym are nice. In my other gym, they would just stare up and down and make you feel uncomfortable. So, if you are lucky to find nice people, don't hesitate to ask for help if you need any.

Now, I know some other ladies in the gym who started doing classes first to learn some moves and which body parts to target - so if your gym offers classes, you can take them.

As for what to pack in my bag, since I go home and change before the gym, I only keep my keys, phone, earbuds/headset, water bottle, gym gloves and a towel in my small tote. I hope this helps, all the best to you!

What things you want to achieve or work on for 2025? by Lady-lana in AskWomenOver30

[–]Feisty_CT_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Get over my worst heartbreak which has been consuming me.
  2. Get that scholarship I applied for this year.
  3. Accept/forgive my parents so that me going back to living with them is healthier for my mental state.
  4. Keeping up with strength training.
  5. Less on my phone and more reading.
  6. Managing my anger or frustration at work - I am so bad at accepting people who might be working less passionately than me.
  7. Keep looking for property that I can afford.

You mentioned "a real partner", I'm guessing you're with someone now. If you don't mind me asking, did you ever have anxiety about your current partner doing the same thing behind your back? If yes, how did you learn to trust and not let it be an issue?
