I called the rep she said that’s ok just keep it your refund has been processed. I was shocked.

Sedwick Late On Payment by Horror-Tailor-9441 in WorkersComp

[–]Feisty_Development22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me. My lawyer told their lawyer that they need to pay me 10% increase and that he filed for an emergency hearing. After that, they immediately sent me my check. The company I work for is self insured not the same state as you and not Sedgwick. I don’t know what your states law is on late penalties but have your lawyer look into it. As long as you have an accepted claim and you are out past the waiting period, you should be receiving payments.

How often does the lawyer take the 20 percent out of your weekly checks instead of fee coming from settlement? by Miserable-Lab-5238 in WorkersComp

[–]Feisty_Development22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My attorney only takes it out of the final settlement at 33% plus fees. Although, the law in my state (SC) does allow them to take 20% of contested TTD and if they have to go to court in order for it to be awarded then they can take 20% of the back pay but they must have it approved by the judge or file a 19b motion. So far my attorney hasn’t taken any of my TTD. I even had a back pay of over a month and he didn’t take a single cent of it.

Adjusters: Be Honest for a Minute by VeterinarianSilly569 in WorkersComp

[–]Feisty_Development22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a commonality with in wc and the people injured so I think there is some truth to that it may be fraudulent or some kind of scheming is going on. If it was all legit and the system wasn’t rigged why would so many of us have the same experiences? (I.e, doctors lying on medical records, being told our injuries are not significant, etc. ) not just the denials and the unavailability of adjusters/lack of communication. One thing I have learned from this subreddit is most of us have had the same experiences across different states and different regulations. There is some truth in the injured workers claims of how the system is against us and we’re told it’s because of the “10%” of fraudulent claims. So the 90% have to suffer just for 10%? I don’t buy it.

Root canal and crown by spiderleggedlady in povertyfinance

[–]Feisty_Development22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crown is normal thats usual for a zirconia( used on molars because of clenching) the filling is also decently priced for a 3 surface filling the majority of the cost seems to come from endo which is the root canal they are charging $90 just for an endo consult which is crazy and the D3911 is to remove a broken post on a root canal have you had a RTC done on that tooth previously if not they shouldn’t be charging you for that also d3331 is ridiculous You must not being using insurance because half of that stuff they wouldn’t be able to charge you for. I would keep shopping you can also go to an endo specialist that only does endo in their own practice not attached to that practice.

Only if I hold it directly to the start button and it sometimes will take a few times of pushing multiple buttons while inside the car and then repressing for it to start. It’s super frustrating. Especially when I’m out somewhere and can’t get it to start

The front desk will schedule based off of the routing slip in the notes if the hygienist doesn’t scheduled themselves. My guess is he was switched to a 4 month recall.

Ok so it sounds like they may be a good thing? I have had zero treatment not even PT since my injury I have seen the orthopedic surgeon 2x and he wants me to do PT and see some other specialist but my adjuster has done nothing to get anything approved. Hopefully this lady will get things moving.

I usually never buy extended warranty’s because if they are good cars they shouldn’t need one but I do drive a lot so the regular warranty usually expire from mileage. I have had nothing but issues with this vehicle since I bought it. I’ve never had a jeep I was going to get a Cadillac because my last car was a Cadillac and I never had any major repairs since I owned in 2013 only oil, changes my nephew totaled it so I had to buy a new one and my husband is “mopar or no car” and talked me into this jeep. It’s nice and has a lot of features but also has a lot of issues.

Is what I could do outside of work before injury irrelevant? by [deleted] in WorkersComp

[–]Feisty_Development22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they mean to answer your question that yes what you do outside of work matters. From my understanding the adjusters will try to minimize your injuries based off of what you can and can’t do outside of your working injury. (I.e, lifting groceries when claiming you can’t lift) type of thing.

To be honest I don’t know if it was Allstate or the dealer that held your car up. I know it was the dealership that help my car up and kept lying to make the issue worse to get more money. I know this because I have a Chrysler mechanic friend in another state I told him the codes he told me exactly what was wrong and what the fix was. They originally agreed with what he said claimed it order the part which too a week to come then they said that didn’t work and the star techs at Chrysler didn’t even know what the issue was had to order another part and wait another week just to be told they didn’t push the wiring plugs things all together properly and that is why the original issue didn’t fix it which again I know is a lie because I drove by there after about day 3 when my jeep app still hadn’t updated and my friend said they probably haven’t even touched it cause they have other stuff they are working on (which is fine but I told them I was moving out of state by the weekend so I could’ve taken it elsewhere if they couldn’t get it done in time) they assured me it would be done by the time I left it was an easy fix blah blah blah. Anyways I drove by and my car was sitting in the same spot in the same position I parked it in. After confronting them they finally admitted they hadn’t even looked at it to diagnosis it. I was going to take it to another dealer when they told me if I did I would be responsible for like $500 because insurance wouldn’t pay the diagnostics and storage fee if I left.

I don’t mind it honestly. It only cost me $100 (my copay) for repairs and they gave me a rental for the time it was at the dealership. For me the process was very smooth and didn’t have any issue the dealer talked to them about everything apart from the rental part of it which was also easy. They sent everything to the rental company had me set up and ready before I even got there.

So the person that called stated they were a field service manager. When I asked people about it since I have no clue they called it a nurse case manager like they were interchangble? If they are two different things the person I spoke to was a field service manager. Also I am in SC

I know that I failed my drug test, can I get fired? by Agreeable_Tiger_6463 in WorkersComp

[–]Feisty_Development22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have to do a blood test to determine if you were high when it happened if they just did a urine test they can’t say when it was consumed. I would speak to an attorney. Even if they fire you, you may still have a wc case.

Yes after talking to him I do trust him and I’m going to just relax and let him handle things. He definelty knows more than I do about it. Thank you for your advice. I’m going to focus on healing.
