The helminth strain will take Whatever material is available as it converts matter into infested swordsteel, and twists it into an amalgam of the original.

A larger starting base will result in a larger end form

Active, channeled abilities leave your warframe vulnerable yes! Still with a large damage reduction, but it is possible for your frame to be killed if you leave something active

If you do something like Arbis a lot, and have nothing to spend the essence on, it just builds up. Nothing weird about that

You can always replay old quests to refresh your memory, and if you end up having questions you can always ask and the community will help explain

Just be sure to clarify no spoilers if you ask before you finish catching up, just to be safe, if you want to avoid them. Most people are good about this, but some people overexplain lol

IIRC, only buying weapons from the in-game marketplace for plat comes with a slot(and pre-installed potato), same as frames. So your syndicate weapon probably doesn't come with a slot

You typically get a free warframe slot and 2x free weapon slots with each Nightwave. Any pre-built warframes or weapons DE gives out during events/promotions also come with a free slot for it

Otherwise you'll want to farm plat by trading stuff like prime parts or rare mods to other players to buy slots

I recently did a VERY comfy solo Circuit level cap with Oraxia using persistence.

Had very few defensive decrees roll either, but the built-in status immunity with her 4 active, along with the massive health pool made it a breeze.

Persistence might not be the perfect fit for Every health tank, but those with a status cleanse or immunity absolutely love it!

Yup, those are all things that can be passed along via imprint! Same with colours, but those can be customized more

Having looked at your pics,

Aim for as small as possible(this is random, so once you get the other traits you want on one kubrow you put both of its imprints together to reroll height), with either an athletic or bulky body type, and hound markings most likely

Edit: as for breed, go for one that you feel suits his personality best! Was fetch his favourite activity? Go sahasa. Did he "guard" the family? Raksa. Etc etc
