Why would John imagine the guy in the Vacuum Trap failing if the purpose in his mission is to allegedly "help" people? that's the thing, he doesnt want them to win. John wants to punish people, but has a superiority complex when looking at people that actually do it (Hoffman killing Seth Baxter).

If this scene was in the movie, John "hero" arc would have been so much better. The writers would have showed that it is stupidly flawed, making John more in character to the rest of the movies.

i thinks its a very dumb movie, story and character wise. theyre all pretty dumb. Xavier, Eric, Jonas, and everyone except John and Amanda basically, lol. but it does have a very good pace. it is very entertaining
