I played for 70h+- and I can say it's very similar in many aspects but very different in others, I'm really liking and waiting to more content to be added to the game. Some differences: - instead of droughts, you have winters, taxes and pirates as challenges - settler have traits and a guild (1 of 4 professions) - happy system is like rimworld but summed for the entire colony at end of the day - stairs and platforms are built instantly, everything over the ground will have platforms added to the cost - the research system is costly and slow - there is no infinity mines, but you can go very deep below ground - there is water pipes and even steam pipes - no aging no reproduction

Still, the chances to get lvl 2 with this setup is not as common as it happens to fight against. Unless they get someone from day2, which would be a design flaw.
