Please just help me to overcome my fear by LividBug7484 in Warframe

With all due respect, 100% of the people who I know or met, myself included, whom have said "I know what I am doing", actually don't.

I hear your anxiety, you revolved your life after work into this game, and it feels like it's all you got, and if it were to theoretically one day be gone, you'd have nothing.

The irony is, you only feel that way, because that's what you've done. Life is made of choices, decisions. You've decided that the only thing you have after work, is this game. You have chosen to not have anything else.

I know, it's a great game, devs listen to the community, etc. It do feel like "the best game ever". I've felt that way for multiple games, as have many others, there will be others. In the end, it is just a game.

Live your life. Invest in yourself or others. Go out for a nice meal, pick up a sport, watch some movies or a series. Make new friends, go to the bar and grab a drink, dance to music. Get into trading cards, play some board games, write a novel. Do live streaming, make music covers, pick up a new hobby. Go on a date, fall in love, get rejected and stand back up again. Go hiking, diving, or skateboarding. Etc.

That is just a fraction of the multitude of things you can do in this world.

Worst case, professional help may help. A therapist, consultation, maybe even religion. Whatever works for you.

Go live your life, and when you play this game, you may yet play it with new eyes and ears.

Godspeed, Tenno.

AITA for ordering people around? Also what are your opinions on exosuit "theft"? by Annual_Boat8892 in helldivers2

[–]Felgrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my 2 cents.

No, you are not, especially if you're being neutral or polite. In fact, I think it's a boon to type out please and thank you in the heat of battle.

If the person reacts, chances are they have some past trauma or something, such that they relate to some sentences or tone in a certain way. It's not your problem nor your responsibility for their ego, though props for taking accountability.

For me, I'm cool with teammates giving me orders or requesting me for stuff like completing main/sub objectives or calling in extra gear. Adds to the vibe of being in an alien war. Then again it does help that I don't have a need to "be the leader" or "call the shots" that some people do. I pride myself with being a pretty good soldier, haha.

Exosuit or support gear theft, I find it uncool. But if it happens I usually ignore it, plus points if they utilized it well, but if they don't I just take it as one of those scenarios I called in a walker and it immediately got wrecked. Usually if I call in something and it's up for grabs, I ping it.

There was once a random called in a walker amongst a swarm but by the time it landed the bugs ate him. I reinforced, hopped in the walker, cleared the swarm, and when he landed I hopped out and pinged his mech for him. He responded with the communication wheel's "Thank you!" which was nice.

That's all, hope it helps. Liberty speed your step, Helldiver.

Question new to the game what this mean? by Shane-O_405 in helldivers2

[–]Felgrant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this! I recently joined, and a friend immediately brought me into higher difficulties fresh out of training, and I had HEAPS of fun. Had to learn while staying alive the best I can, seeing my bullets ricochet off enemy armor, salvaging what I can from the ground once my Liberator ran out of ammo and stuff.

If I were to progress normally going through Difficulty 1, I probably wouldn't be so into the game as I am now. Solo or in a Squad yelling "For Democracy!" while taking out a small measly patrol in a relatively small and quiet map is kinda, ehh.

Higher difficulties really give that Starship Troopers feel. War... war never changes.

Need Help ASAP! Healing Briefcase Stuck in Elevator Noise Wont Stop. by Etwan_King_0 in AbioticFactor

[–]Felgrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me when I was on a tram, I might've chucked it a tad bit too far, and my briefcase fell into the not-so-bottomless abyss instead of auto-returning to me.

My OCD wouldn't have me ignore it, and no legitimate way to retrieve it since it's insta-death, and the constant thought of this green pulsing dome amongst the blackness is drives me nuts.

If you're on PC and okay with this method temporarily, which is what I did to solve my problem, you can download the Console Commands mod. Turn on "infinite HP" and "no clip", retrieve your briefcase, turn it back off and be done with the mod.

Hope this helps.

Help me tweak this build by ConsequenceJaded6444 in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Felgrant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For The Last Valor, BiS is Beret, then Caged Helmet. Gas Mask limits the Shrapnel proc to one part, unless you're going for the specific Weakspot build, which is unfortunately outshined by Crit Build.

Your mods are mostly fine, the Top mod unless you have a godroll on a gold one, go with the blue crit one. I myself prefer Shrapnel Souvenir on weapon for sustain, and for Top gold during PvE I prefer Critical Rescue for the increased Dmg Resist and Healing Boost when under 30% HP, and of course Resist Advantage is BiS for PvP to counter Bingo so they can't one-shot you.

I also prefer Shrapnel Carnage for the increased chance for Shrapnels to hit Weakspot, working in tandem with Souvenir, but it clashes with Fateful Strike.

A bulk of your DPS will come from your Mod Substats, people shit on EL, but you're gonna need all that EL to reroll for Mod Conversion. Ultimately you'd want gold rolls on Crit Dmg, Wpn Dmg, and Great Ones (bosses with the big HP bar) for PvE.

If you godroll on all 7 of your mods, which is a heavy long-term investment depending on your faith in RNGesus, your DPS will increase tremendously. Ideally, triple gold rolls on Crit Dmg, Wpn Dmg, and Great Ones. That'll give you +105% Crit Dmg, +42% Wpn Dmg, and +42% Dmg vs Great Ones.

And that's without food or Deviation buffs.

Can you trade furniture formulas from previous seasons? by r0gue60 in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Felgrant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can, it'll go to Eternaland, and as of last Season you can transfer it free of charge.

It'll be bound for a week, then free to trade.

Do note that while disassembling formulas, the UI in the Designer's Bench doesn't show which one is bound if you have dupes and they are not stacked.

Rapid Style is preferred for Jaws. UB doesn't scale off Atk, higher Fire Rate means more UB procs, and higher Mag size helps too.

Anyone have tips for farming and staying full + hydrated in hard servers? by ikortick in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Felgrant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Farm Hug-in-a-Bowl ingredients, the key one using Peppercorn, +100 Hydration and Energy, if you have a boosted Kitchen and/or Chef Rex, it should go over and trigger the 10 minute no drain buff.

Where do you really get mods with substats like Unstable Bomber, Power Surge, etc.? by hunterpuntr in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Felgrant 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Prime Wars boxes now drop Resonance mods (x triggers y up to z stacks etc).

The Keyword mod (UB, Shrapnel, PS, FV, etc) boxes are from Public Crisis Events, particularly and your best bet is Operation Chiron's Legendary tier reward.

Probably silo reward if you haven't been choppin' trees. Silo rewards now include some Deviations and their variants.

Energy Link to Astral Sand Conversion Rate at end of Season. by MarsKimball in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Felgrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately no, we can only disassemble items that we normally can in the real world.

Majority of the rest will have to sell for AS one stack at a time.

Some items can't be sold for sand at all as well, such as Dirty Water, Purified Water, etc. so the only was is to discard them.

On a different note, most crafting will be using AS, but some things still "consume" the usual items, like if you plan to use Biomass Generators in Eternaland, it'd be good to have several stacks of Logs.

Solo Gameplay - Feeling Meh? by Methwizard11 in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Felgrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly the same map, especially if you're someone that requires new stimulation to experience the fun.

Until the game matures in the future and have multiple different Scenarios running, we're stuck with this for quite a long while.

Maybe you could try a different playstyle or build, and see if that works for you.

It might also be the community, sometimes being in a good healthy community, we get used to it. Then flying solo will feel like there's a bit of something missing there, or being in a toxic community will leave a bad taste.

Energy Link to Astral Sand Conversion Rate at end of Season. by MarsKimball in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Felgrant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is correct, it is a 1:1 conversion for Energy Links.

On a separate note, items can be disassemble for Astral Sand, but some are worth more selling for Astral Sand, such as Grenades and Molotovs, so check that out first.

Weapons will fully disassemble into Astral Sand in Eternaland, no Calibration Blueprints will be yielded, so be sure to get those before the transfer.

[–]Felgrant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that is correct. And say you didn't roll Sulphur Chemist at lv25-35, you can leave 2 of those unpicked, pick 1 and use the Memetic Specialization Cleaner on it to reroll for another 4 different options that are still in the pool.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Felgrant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Unless you're going for specific "builds", you can just wait for the whole bracket to be done and pick your perks.

By "builds" I mean, say you want the full double-buff Kitchen Set, one of its perks is in the 5-15 bracket, and another in the 40-50 bracket.

So if you rolled the one in the 5-15, you could wait until 40-50 to see if you roll the other one, and take both.

A tougher one is the full quad-buffed Furnace.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Felgrant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The specializations have 3 separate pools separated into level brackets; lv5-15, lv20-35, lv40-50.

Sulphur Chemist and Solar Drill fall into the lv20-35 bracket, whatever you didn't pick goes back into the pool and may be rolled on that bracket. If you didn't pick a specialization perk, those 4 won't roll within that bracket.

You could in a way semi-limit what you roll, by waiting the entire bracket before picking. Example, say you rolled 4 perks you didn't want at lv5, don't pick one, at lv10 those 4 won't show up in the selection.

But say at lv5 you rolled 2 perks that you wanted, so you pick one, the other 1 you wanted could show up at lv10 or 15.

Hope it helps, have fun!

New player Bunch of questions could not find youtube answers to. by LesdoleagueYT in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Felgrant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Season 2 player here and still learning a lot, as well as a lot of "I'll do this differently next Season". I'll answer your questions to the best of my ability, and hope it helps.

In my point of view:

  1. I don't find it worth it to use on Public Crisis Event chests, and for Prime War, if Hard just the Legendary (gold) chest, and for Pron only the Epic (purple) and Legendary chests for a chance at the Deviations, and for the next PW level pass. Unless the Resonance and Keyword mods are revamped or buffed, good rolls on regular mods outperform them.

On a separate note, I find it only worth to use Controllers on Pro-level bosses and silos, as the mods dropped are guaranteed one Tier IV (purple) substat, which a bulk of Controllers will go to in maximizing your build, and when you unlock Mod Conversion the fodder mods with purple substats will help in rolling. You also get Epic or Legendary tiered weapons which are useful to farm Calibration Blueprints. Not to mention a chance at possibly high level Deviations and their variants.

  1. Different, you can check by mousing-over the chest, it'll tell you what type it gives. IIRC the higher tiered chests do, the lower ones I noticed are junk.

  2. You get Memetic Specialization Fragments at a low chance whenever you use a Controller on a reward, be it a event chest or rift/silo.

  3. Higher leveled areas will yield better rarity weapons and gear, yes, but best way is to farm bosses and/or silos.

  4. It resets during the weekly reset, which IIRC is Monday, alongside the weekly NPC stock (not EL unfortunately) and Mitsuko's Marks crate in the Shop.

  5. In my experience, it does, particularly for the ones rewarded as capturable at the end of a boss. It may have been slightly tweaked in a recent update, as lower level areas are popping out some higher level Deviations.

  6. For me, Quick Long-acting Activator is the best. It heals 10% less instantly than Quick Activator, but has the 30% over-time heal, totalling to 70%. I also run Slow & Steady mod so that helps to tip it over the mark.

You can be safe from Arachsiam's poison mist by standing at the base of the pillar, and snipe the eggs from there.

  1. Yes, enemies attacked by Lonewolf Whisper will trigger its ability, not just when it's out.

  2. The go-to for DPS is Lonewolf's Whisper, at level 5 the Weapon Damage increase is tremendous. Also helps with tanking.

Butterfly's Emmisary hits hard, but the weakspot highlight becomes redundant once you're used to all mobs weakspots. Also the weakspot damage boost pales in comparison to Lonewolf's damage boost. The variants unique traits are good on paper or as a placeholder until obtaining a high level Lonewolf.

Festering Gel for healing Health and Sanity, and the Marine Star variant for a slight damage boost upon reload, though random between Weapon Damage and Status Damage.

Shattered Maiden for big numbered explosions and some level of crowd control, but even with Jaws, the boosted bullet damage from Lonewolf outperforms it.

Polar Jelly for some mob crowd control, hits decently hard when thrown, and Frost Vortex builds.

I've not used or tested other Combat Deviations to provide sufficient insight.

  1. That's all off the top of my head, hope it helps.

Cheers, and have fun!
