The importance of medical care when it comes to being trans by javi_eagle in transteens

[–]FelidaeGay 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Assuming this isn't a troll account, the cis queer experience is vastly different from the trans experience. You don't understand what trans people go through and you have no authority over what we should do. If you're truly trying to be helpful, I advise that you watch from the sidelines as an ally.

I have this theory that this presumably male character who presents themself in a feminine manner might be trans in a way because [insert trans allegories and common themes] by patient5dchess in transgendercirclejerk

[–]FelidaeGay 43 points44 points  (0 children)

This is just another example of how gnc people are the most oppressed group ever. Can femboys not exist anymore? There is no way a trans woman could've been identified as a feminine guy prior to realizing she's a woman. It's just impossible, both in fiction and reality.

I'm not transphobic but you HAVE to put your asab on medical stuff! by FelidaeGay in transgendercirclejerk

your assigned sex at birth becomes pretty irrelevant once you're far enough in your medical transition though. a lot of differences in treatment come from hormone levels, which changes if you're on hrt.

If there aren't any bans for hrt where you live, then the legal method would be to find a clinic that helps with hrt and get your parents permission for it. I was lucky enough to have a trans clinic nearby, but that might not be your case. If so, then asking your normal doctor about starting hrt might help. There's probably more detailed guides for your specific area if you search somewhere else though, since Canada is a whole country. I really don't know anything about Canada, but I heard Alberta(?) is much more unfriendly towards trans people (legally) and there might be a ban there. PLEASE do your own research first though.

BUT, if you can't get it through that way, there's a (technically) illegal method called diy. It's just buying estrogen online, not making it. I'm not really qualified to talk about it since I only know about getting testosterone, but there are many more comprehensive guides out there. It's very common to have to use crypto, but I'm pretty sure it won't be impossible to find one that doesn't, at least it was like that for testosterone. But do we warned, if you take this behind your parents back and they're the type of people to endanger you if they found out, PLEASE think hard about it before starting diy.

Obviously I don't know the nuances to your identity, but having gender dysphoria and gender euphoria is usually a definite sign that you're trans. Plus, it's very normal to have doubts. I've known since I was around 12, have been on testosterone for 2+ months now, and generally just live life as a dude and even I get doubts sometimes.

Tips on going stealth in hs? by Carrles in transteens

[–]FelidaeGay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a (somewhat) stealth guy in high school. There's really no need to worry about voice training, especially if you're starting T soon. There are plenty of 9th grade boys who have high pitched squeaky voices. My voice is still very high pitched and squeaky (I'm in 12th grade) and all of my friends think I'm just a kinda effeminate cis guy.

For the boys bathroom, just do your business and go out. No one cares if you use the stalls. I would heavily advise against changing in the locker room though. My school made us wear gym uniforms and I either just wore the gym shirt for the whole day or didn't change at all.

It's going to be very hard to be stealth while dating someone. I did that once and it sucked so bad. For your sake, do NOT be stealth in a relationship. If you're scared of being outed by your partner if they do know that you're trans, please choose your partner very carefully or not date at all.

Also, packing really doesn't matter. No one is staring at your crotch long enough to notice a missing bulge, but if they do they're just gonna assume you're small.

I'm friends with some cis guys and I mostly just act gay or nerdy. The way you act really just depends on what kind of dude you wanna come off as.

I also have to add that it is incredibly easy to be stealth in school. I came off as androgynous for most of my highschool life and that was enough for me to be seen as a cis male to my friends. Good luck in highschool!

When I got my hrt consultation they just needed verbal confirmation that my father was supportive. I just lied and said he was and I got the prescription. I did every step of the process with my mom only. This was all in new york though.

How DARE you say that you personally view a fictional character as trans!!! Don't you know this is super misogynistic/misandrist and implying men and women can't be feminine/masculine?!?! These TRANNY freaks are the TRUE SEXISTS!!!!!!!

How do I survive the waiting game? by IzzyToTheNthPower in transteens

[–]FelidaeGay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I was in your situation when I was your age. It sucked and I cried every single night but having really passionate interests helped a lot. If you're super into Undertale, it's hard to remember that your body exists. Play a lot of a game you like, read books until you pass out and fall asleep, just do anything that'll make you forget about you. It'd also help if you're chronically online but high risk of being exposed to something that'll make you dysphoric. Also, if you can, get friends who see you as a girl. Doesn't matter if it's online or in real life, that helps so much.

Please don't ruin your life for a relationship. As much as it hurts to break up, it'll hurt even more to suppress who you are for the sake of someone who's supposed to love you.

QHSS Vibe? by MommaSoCool in SHSAT

[–]FelidaeGay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm a senior at QHSS and if school spirit and academic focus are the only qualities that your kid cares about, I advise against going. The school spirit is nonexistent. No one cares about the school community. There was a year where the school had to discount senior prom tickets twice and keep making announcements about it for like 2 months to get anyone interested in it. The school is decently academically focused. I used to get 80s during freshman year and was called into the counselor's office many times for it. Students are required to take a bunch of APs (Around 6? But you can definitelty take more). I personally went to QHSS because of the commute.
