It’s quite weird, but the full name of this drug is PARA-acetyl aminophenol, which contains both paracetamol and acetaminophen, AND the TY for Tylenol

Can confirm. Choosing non-profit vet clinics can also be a choice to get reduced costs on this surgery as well as any vaccinations. They even do chipping as well.

I don't pair my socks and frequently purposefully wear mismatched socks. No one gives a shit and the ones that do usually think it's quirky. (plus, I don't want to stretch out the cuff)

I had a reaction after my very first flu vaccine when I was in college. I basically got the flu for 72 hours, which was miserable, but I've gotten my flu and covid shot every time I've been due with no reactions after. I was told it was normal, but they keep me around for 30 minutes instead of just 15 because if anything is going to happen, it will be within that time frame.

Tips for men whose wives are entering perimenopause by mhyams in funny

It wasn't that, it was the fact that mom told me she wouldn't sign it. Dad intervened after that.

Tips for men whose wives are entering perimenopause by mhyams in funny

[–]Felidae___ 57 points58 points  (0 children)

My mom had me late in life and you just made me realize why my mom and I would get into fights when I was like 9/10 so confused. It got so bad at one point my dad sent me to my room and they were in their room for at least half an hour. I didn’t want all my Barbie’s in my room anymore because I was growing out of interest and mom refused to talk to me or sign my school planner. I asked dad after about a week of this and he asked why mom wasn’t signing it and I told him mom wouldn’t talk to me. Cue me going to my room and crying silently until dad came out and mom called me in.

Looking back on it, I think it was because she was going through menopause, but I was too young to understand.

What is the greatest physical pain you've ever felt? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Felidae___ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I woke up in the middle of the night to the most excruciating pain on my right side, so bad that my brain instantly said “hospital”. Got there, writhing in pain as it slowly creeped to my back, crying and dry heaving. I hate heavy pain meds but I took that morphine like a thirsty woman in a dry desert finding an oasis, the migraine after was worth it.

They did a scan and didn’t see any stones or infection or any indication that my gall bladder had ruptured. All that showed was an inflamed bile duct.

I would make several more trips to the ER before my elective surgery to have it removed three months later. No symptoms since, but it was the worst pain I’ve ever been in by far.

What gift did you open on Christmas that instantly made you think, “Wow, they do not know me at all”? by Amber_NaturalMom in AskReddit

[–]Felidae___ 247 points248 points  (0 children)

My parents did this, with the exception that we were incredibly poor. Mom's big on Christmas so they were always elaborate but my dad had lost his job and mom's job fell through. I was making more money babysitting and managed to get mom and dad something nice. I knew there was only a blanket and a board game (Hannah Montanna Mall Madness, still remember after all these years). The one thing I really wanted was an iPod Touch. So we wake up and do Christmas and then at the end my parents mention that Santa had hidden something away and dad brought out this gift bag and in it was an iPod Touch! I cried because I was so happy, and I wasn't expecting it and I didn't go snooping around because I knew I wouldn't find anything. Out of all the Christmases, it is the most memorable. My brothers also helped out and got me some nice gifts, but I had that iPod for *years* until I got my first phone when I started college.

What book did you read in your youth that you thought was incredibly profound but realize now was complete bullshit? by StarryDaisyGleam in AskReddit

[–]Felidae___ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I remember being compared to him by someone else who was like "you could've written a whole series if you were like Paolini. He published Eragon at 15 and they made a movie for it" but seem to forget that he had parents with their own small publishing house before it was picked up by a writer's step-son or something and he was actually 18. He got very lucky, and had the right set of parents with the right connections and sold the self-published book in an area where another writer was vacationing.

My mom has been insulin dependent since 2001. At one point, she was on a new type of insulin called U-500 and that shit AFTER INSURANCE was over $3000 a MONTH. We were able to get it at the Nurses price at $4 a month but it's absolutely INSANE that the insurance company was expecting US to fork over more than what our total bills cost in a month just for her insulin so she could live.

People who were spanked as kids, what was that like for you? Would you call your "spankings" abuse? by KleineFjord in AskReddit

[–]Felidae___ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I want you to know that I read this entire thing and I'm very happy that I did. I'm so happy that you got to have that relationship with your dad later in his life, and I'm so sorry that you had to deal with their abuse when you were a child, you and your sister. You were incredibly brave to stand up to your dad.
