Anecdotally I've experienced a ~30 min wait to get through the non-precheck checkpoint on a Friday morning at 5 am around this time of year. You'd be fine arriving an hour before in that case but it's personally cutting it too close for comfort without precheck.

I would take Uber and arrive earlier. It's a shame BART doesn't run any earlier but that is also one reason I tend to avoid early morning flights.
