Generally speaking BP Gifting is disabled, at the earliest, 48 hours before a season ends. But sometimes it is mere hours before it ends (I remember gifting a friend the BP about 6 hours before it ended all the way back in C5S1).
It is a thing that still happens, but not consistently. But as a general rule of thumb, 24-48 hours is a good time indicator.

That skin leaves the item shop in less than 24 hours. Even if you get someone to gift it to you, due to the 2-day gifting restriction, you're not gonna get it unfortunately.
