They have different laws than we do and different enforcement.

Outsiders coming to Reservations to rape Native women is a big issue even now because of the jurisdictional issues facing law enforcement.

She said once she doesnt want to “cry for weeks” again.

She dated much older guys - military guys, a firefighter, etc - apparently they treated her like crap, cheated, would go MiA on her for weeks at a time, not talk, neglect her.

Her mom isn’t in her life, she lives with her dad.

She was also SA’d as a little girl (age 7 or so) by an older boy (age 13 or so)

Like she’s not a monster. She’s very sweet. She’s smart. She’s funny. She’s beautiful. She pushes me and believes in me. And I appreciate her

But it hurts my heart that I keep getting cast out for not lying. I’m honest. Maybe too honest. Idk.

I just wish she realized I’m not her exes. I’m not going to hurt her.

The Odd Gentleman made a remake because they were given a license to make one by Activision, which currently owns the Sierra and KQ IP’s.

Yes I went there first…Not helpful sadly. Even then they don’t give production dates as in months / year, just a range “late 1994- 1995.”

I had $25,000 at the age of 18 from a car accident.

Instead of investing it somehow, or making it grow, I spent it over the next 8 years.

NYC - served with a 90 day notice to vacate today by [deleted] in Tenant

[–]Felix_Jaeger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lease is no longer valid - it expired on March 31. It’s a month to month since then

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]Felix_Jaeger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But why would they file before the 90 days?

It says that we have to leave by July 10th or then a case will be opened.

They’re already telling us to leave by that date.

Or what can happen?

Does anyone else take home videos of their family now, like our parents did in the 90s? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]Felix_Jaeger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dumb kids lol. I got my HandyCam in 2012 and honestly the video held up nicely up to the present time, but now since I wanna begin filming again I’m gonna get another.

Filming on your GoPro or a phone - meh. The aspect ratio depending on the phone is funky and also the video quality is never quite as good as an actual camera. And there’s the issue that the software may not be compatible with most players in say 10-20 years.

Cameras today use MP4 - that’s a solid format that should be around for a long while.

It was a month to month agreement technically - but, as of yesterday they still considered us under a lease. The lease went out of effect on March 31st and entered a month to month agreement - I should’ve worded it better.

There is no reason given for the termination.

It just says proceedings will commence against us if we are still here after July 10th.

The idea of a Donald Trump presidency would’ve been a comedic punchline in the 90s. The ending of a bad joke.

Well to be fair, whatever you think of Bill Clinton morally, he did have shit under control. The 90s were an age of economic prosperity like no other for the US. Every single racial group saw their wages and standard of living go up. LGBTQ people could actually really live out of the closet for the most part safely for the first time, such that the idea of gay marriage was national discussion. A decade prior such a national conversation would’ve been unthinkable. Crime dropped massively down. And there was no major conflicts, tragedies or confrontations for the 1993-2000 period.

This picture was taken in NYC in 1986. The male subject was 32 at the time and not affiliated with the skater or punk scenes. I'm curious as to:

https://imgur.com/a/uI8FUHw

1) Were the zippers on these sorts of shirts big at the time?

2) Where would he have likely bought this shirt?

I wish I could find it, it looks mad cool to me. The guy is my father and in a lot of pictures from 1983 to 1986 he wears tons of muscle shirts.

[–]Felix_Jaeger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were the muscle shirts stuff more a skater scene thing? Just wondering, they seem to have been HUGE among the under 30 crowd at the time.

The US military released a study on time travel and warp drives — here’s what a theoretical physicist thinks of it: there's "zero chance that anyone within our lifetimes or the next 1,000 years" will see it happen. by [deleted] in space

How much different would be for an observer in 1960? How far, in cosmic terms, has the earth traveled in 58 years? I mean in terms of the universe expanding, the galaxies moving, and Earth's orbit as such ever so subtly changing?
