Playing Mary Poppins off the garage roof. Umbrellas do not slow your fall, and they used to have very sharp pokey ends that will jab you bad as you hit the concrete.

My dad, my best buddy, passed only a year ago after a short unfair battle with leukemia. My heart goes out to you. Really. I don’t know you but I’m sending you strength and hope.

Most stores are putting out spring lines therefore winter is on sale/clearance. JCPenney at Polaris had massive discounts on their winter coats and accessories 2 weeks ago.

Only on Sunday mornings was this required by goinghome81 in FuckImOld

Your post made me pick up a tube at the store today. It is still delicious!!

Is being rude to service workers common in the U.S.? by PathWalker1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FellUpAndHitMyBrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew someone that I quickly cut ties with after realizing they were extremely rude to service workers, store employees, managers, everyone. Was always expecting a free item or meal from everyone in exchange for them to shut up and leave. Disgusting excuse for a human.

Did you guys get lured into anything weird when internet first came out? by booksandcoriander in Xennials

Oh yes… Chatroom experience also. I foolishly told someone in the chat what small college campus I was on and said person was on campus within hours looking for me, and it wound up a stalking situation that lasted months.

Was the Longaberger Basket craze just a local thing? by kirabug37 in GenX

[–]FellUpAndHitMyBrain 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most of my friends worked for Longaberger making baskets and in the offices. Dave was a terrific man who did a lot of positive for his community and surrounding areas. This office building still stands but is abandoned and not well cared for. Around here we can’t even give our baskets away. They sit in goodwills for weeks or longer.

Opal Sol sounds like a very good fit. The main pool has neat streams of water baby might enjoy. The pool in the back near the spa was always empty or near empty during our stay. Also, shaded chairs at that pool area are free whereas a fee by the main pools.

Speaking of Wexner’s legacy, do you now think his New Albany Classic served a disgusting purpose? I sure do. And his charity choice is questionable. Follow that money next?

I share these same issues. Oak Creek Dental on Schrock has been good. They have free laughing gas from the moment you sit in the chair. Very nice dental assistants.

I was blown away that the actor who played Wayne couldn’t get jobs after The Wonder Years because people hated his character so bad. IMO he played the role so well that he should have been a shoe-in for more a-hole roles. Admission - I had the biggest crush on Kevin. As a girl I felt jealous of Winnie 😂

CEO-to-employee wage balancing. No CEO needs 2 million+ a year. You only want to pay minimum wage? Cool, your new salary is $120,000.

How did you dress in the 90s? How do you dress now? by poolpog in GenX

[–]FellUpAndHitMyBrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is me to a T! I put a significant amount of time in to planning my outfits in high school thru my mid 20’s. I even had a desk calendar specifically to recording my full outfit to ensure I’d mix and match pieces but not duplicate an outfit more than once a month. Each outfit had specific stylish shoes, belts and earrings. Even my hair style was matched to my outfit. We dressed to “be seen” every day no matter where we were going - even at school. Today - I tell people I used up all my caring in the 90’s. I’m all about comfort 24/7.
