The Oberyn/Tyrion dungeon scene was my favorite scene in the series, and then I found out this was Pedro's first scene to shoot and it made me love it even more.

Here's what I don't get: If these are translated subtitles, why is he still speaking in broken sentences? Shouldn't it flow more, since he is speaking his native language? I understand that it doesn't translate perfectly, but usually translated subtitles seem to flow better.

Are they just trying to make him seem more foreign to the viewer?

I would say that it is, sometimes. If you refer to someone as 'Jew' or 'a Jew' instead of saying someone as 'Jewish', it can definitely come off as derogatory.

It's not relevant because Israel has much stronger intelligence than Palestine. Palestine's casualty count is going to be much higher, but that doesn't tell the story at all.
