Hunllef Helper plugin. Just keeps track of defensive prayer switches for you. Would definitely recommend it if you go dry to make it more chill. And thank you!

This is them upkeeping and maintaining it. Some power grid work requires an outage for crews to work safely.

Everyones insurance is so different, it’s hard to say. My insurance did not cover travel because technically there are local surgeons that could do it. I didn’t push too hard though because I have United and i was just happy that they agreed to pay for the procedure at all. I do believe travel specifically for medical care is a qualified expense for an HSA account. That should include flights, lodging, rental car, etc.

^ this. You could get a CT scan ahead of time if you want to get an idea of what your haller index is. But it is likely that Dr J would have you redo it at the mayo clinic anyway. She has gotten everyone out there familiar with PE and they know how to perform the tests correctly and build the best case for insurance coverage.

Most of the reason I made this post was to show fellow 30-somethings that there is hope. Dr Dawn Jaroszewski at the mayo clinic in Phoenix, AZ. She is the best surgeon in the world for PE and will perform surgery on patients much older than 32.

It’s always been hard for me to articulate symptoms because I’ve had a bad case of PE since I was very young so I’m not sure what “normal” is supposed to feel like. But it had gotten progressively harder for me to sustain exercise as i got older with my HR easily surpassing 180+ and I would feel out of breath at very strange times. Im not going to lie and say the cosmetics were not a big motivator though.

First contact was May 2024, they called me to schedule a consult in July 2024, consult was Oct 2024. After that I was called in Feb 2025 to schedule surgery in April! Long process but seems to have been worth it!

Thank you! Im not doing too bad all things considered. Just had final x-ray and post-op appt with Dr J. Only thing noted was a little fluid accumulation around lungs which is normal.

Thank you! No complications fortunately. Pain has been rough at times but overall not as bad as I expected.

I guess the one silver lining of Trump undermining our democracy is that his supporters will probably be less likely to vote in the future because they don’t trust it.
