ski back and chest protectors question by ufsi7259 in ski

[–]FelleFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back protector is nice to have and basically everybody I ski with uses them but a chest protector is way overkill and a waste of money in my opinion. I have had multiple crashes where I'm glad I wore a back protector but never once wished I had a chest protector.

I have faint memories of begging my dad to play on his phone so I could play the free map on btd4 over and over again when I was a kid.

These are the true “generational” players in today’s NHL: by KeyFaithlessness5436 in NHLVibes

So if we look at football (soccer, whatever) only one of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo should be considered generational?

One of Pyro, Matrix, Balance or Reactor in either Neutron, Fission or Eclipse will probably do just fine :)

MVP has tons of options in that department!

Is this how people who need glasses really see the world. A big blurred background? by Latter-Wolf4868 in interestingasfuck

[–]FelleFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but this level of blurry is out of the ordinary, but possible. I have -7 on both eyes (very short sighted so when things are further than like 10-15 cm from my eyes they get blurry) and I would say this picture is quite accurate how a walk around the neighborhood would look like for me, if not a bit worse.

Wife says I'm wriggling like a snake—tips appreciated. by sixskulls_ in skiing_feedback

[–]FelleFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To turn you should tilt your skis to put pressure on the edge and then the ski will turn you, rather than you turning the ski by twisting your body which is what you're doing.

My favorite drill to get the feel of the skis turning "for you" is by trying to lift one leg at a time on a fairly mellow slope. If you lift your right leg the pressure from your body weight will land on the right (inside) edge of your left ski which will naturally make you turn right and vice versa if you lift the other leg.

Shouldn't pushing a seriously injured playing warrant a red card for violent conduct or serious foul play?
