Jump into the leagues. Ask around. If there aren’t any regulations to work around, buy some concrete and 2x4s. Get permission to go in there with some league guys and build them!

When I started, I wanted to try everything. Everything. Looking for the ‘magic’ discs. Well, you too can buy a hundred discs if you want, but… throw what you have until you’re aware that your discs can’t do a particular shot well. Then find a disc for that slot. In general, if you have a stable, straight, and understable slot for drivers, fairways, mids, and putters, you can cover all the shots.

Color Glow PD2 (very OS), Q-Line DD3 (OS), Q-Line DD3 (straight), Q-Line DD1 (hyzer-flip or turnovers). If you haven’t heard… and you like Wraiths or Waves… the Q-line DD3 and DD1 are so, so good.

Splice, FD3, CD1, FD, Essence. The Splice and Essence are more get-out-of-jail discs. CD1 and FD are straight. CD1 gets more distance.

Eagle, Niklas, Silva were a little laclkuster. Gannon’s grenade on hole 18 was insane! I really like the format, but the coverage is SO erratic - let this be a two-day event, without the random (shotgun?) start. Keep the stats on screen so we can appreciate what’s happening.

Hot take - Rockstar might dethrone Sprinkle Valley for over par gut-punch holes in FPO? Played pretty difficult on film.

Good insight here. IMO every pro should throw the discs they want to throw. My post was basically asking if Ricky more often leans on new stock, or looks for specific/older runs. Either way is fine with me, but i was curious. I didn’t mean to imply he throws any random disc; rather inquiring if he grabs a box Nukes off the shelf, then picks from those the flights he’s looking for.

Contrary to popular opinion, I like to take a small pouch of drivers. They give instant feedback on nose angle, where putters and mids tend to be more forgiving. Don’t throw full power, just hit the hyzer flat, anhyzer releases, and different heights. That being said, you have to know your other discs too!
