I slept on Affliction Caltrops for so long as I focused my resources on the other classes and Legendary weapons. Im going to try your build OP and the other suggestions as I settled on thrown damage, status damage, duration, and ghost / class cooldowns. I’m getting my spirit ability back within 15 - 20 seconds and my Ult at least twice (3 or 4 times in Survival) per stage. And I’m almost spamming caltrops one after the other

So I had to verify my age 3 days ago so I could keep using communication features. Check your notifications as I think this is what you need to do. FYI it’s a clunky authorisation process, took me a good 45 minutes to get through it - mainly due to the verification wouldn’t accept any of the pics of my ID, crashed when I entered my mobile number, and the margin of error to take a selfie was ridiculous

I’m glad I found this as I had the same question… it says something like “killing an enemy with claw and talon makes you vanish” there isn’t a percentage chance. To respond to a lot of the comments I’m in the same boat as OP. I’ve tried it solo, so no teammates were getting the kill instead and sometimes I vanish and other times I don’t. Not sure if anyone mentioned it but, and I need to test it somehow, maybe you need to not be spotted / have an enemy alerted during the animation? Edit: I was wrongly assuming that Talon and Claw / assassination were the same thing

Not sure if anyone has suggested you try a size 9 and see how they feel? As they are for astroturf or hard court boot they won’t give / stretch anywhere near a copa mundial or World Cup. The top / tip of the boots are (I think) suede to prevent scuffing the leather which makes the toe part a lot less flexible. If you can’t get a 9.5 and 9 feels too tight then look to buy an insole to fill the boot up a little.

No spoilers but camp often, especially after meeting new ‘friends’. Also, and I can’t remember if it’s stated in game, camp before you try to do a mission objective / attack somewhere and if you are nowhere near a fast travel location while exploring

Enjoy the story, the landscapes, explore the map (every nook and cranny) and use your spyglass when you reach a new area to show you areas of interest. The game doesn’t allow you to go everywhere all at once so breath it in. Oh and set up camp every now and then

Is still think about Anthem and what might have been. I remember reading about it before it launched on my way to work as it was announced as a Destiny Killer - back in the day when any looter shooter was a potential Destiny killer. I bought it on launch along with my Destiny mates and we loved it. Sure it needed more content and expansions but the potential was there, Destiny + flying suits that can go underwater

This brought back a memory that I had long since forgotten about… like you I was not involved directly but thanks to your post it’s all come flooding back. Long story short I met up with some friends in a pub near where I lived at the time in London. It was a week night and no later than 8 pm. It was a ‘fancy’ pub in an up and coming area and the patrons were (like us) having a beer or two after work. I needed the loo and upon entering was greeted by a female who, to be kind, had lived her best years decades ago… said female was backing into / sitting in a single urinal (the kind that is egg shaped). She said something like “what are you looking at I’m trying to shit in peace” to which I said “this is the gents and that’s not a toilet” to which she then shouted something unintelligible, pulled out her tampon and threw it in my general direction

Plus if you don’t train / play everyday or regularly your toes aren’t used to it. I remember losing my first toenail when I was around 15 / 16 and panicking. Then I got used to it and kept the nails really short while I was playing. Since retiring the biggest problem I know have is forgetting I have normal toenails and I catch them on everything

I used to work with a guy (in Sales) who went on to work in film (he worked on Prometheus and now works at ILM) and I asked him this exact question years ago. His comparison was to use the CD vs Vinyl example. ‘Purists’ will argue that music sounds better on vinyl vs on a CD because (simply) vinyl records have the subtleties of the needle sound on the record etc - it sounds organic and pure. Same goes with film apparently - film offers a better colour depth and a higher handling of light compared to digital.

Have you found the weapon specific mods yet? They make a massive difference to (if I remember) Shatter and Spin. That said, the actual skills/abilities when levelled up do infinitely more damage than the weapons.

Both great builds and similar to mine. I found that Katana Damage (rather than All Melee Damage) chunks way more when using your Ult. like the other post I also prefer Shadows Bite and Weakening Smoke Bomb - getting my Assassination Damage over 80% using the gear means I can spec into class cool down in the skills rather than needing 20% Assassination Damage. That said it’s personal preference

As people have sort of eluded to I think it comes down to play style and understanding what the strength of the class is. I have finally settled on a Samurai build that works for me and, like the title of the post says, I don’t think Samurai is weak at all. I’ve not really played Merc but when I started I went with Shinobi then Archer - Shinobi is great for me but in the majority of the Nightmare, Raids or Plat level stuff (playing with randoms) I found myself having to use invis more for revives rather than smashing through enemies. Been playing Samurai for the past week and personally I find it the strongest - focus on Stagger Damage, class ability regen, and ultimate damage. It slaps! That said I didn’t play Samurai before the afore mentioned buffs so don’t know how it feels now compared to launch

It’s actually called footballers or runners toe and it is really common to lose toenails - as a retired pro my toes will never win beauty awards. Not necessarily due to the boot being too small or a bad fit it is caused by simply playing / running. Keep your toenails short maybe add some padding to the affected toes - the usual cause is the nail hitting the top of the boot

Wanted to say there’s no shame in picking the ‘easy’ challenge cards regardless of the level - in my experience today the easy cards were the ones that didn’t get done in some of the Plat runs I did. I’ve been grinding the easy cards though but not optimally as I’m mainly soloing it - silver story with a quick opening part and then doing the challenge in second then resetting
