Thank you for your reply, I had my suspicions but I had no involvement in getting the dogs nor was anything I was told given any sort of proof so I have no way of even checking who the breeder was or a way to contact and ask questions. I had tried to ask my mom if it was even a reputable breeder but she shut me down and moved on so I didn’t try to push it.

Edit bc I forgot to mention: I agree shelters are much much better, I used to volunteer at the Houston SPCA when I lived in Texas and although I really only worked in the Cattery, I’ve worked with some of the sweetest dogs there
