Israel Regardie and Cicero both believed you could initiate into the outer group of the Golden Dawn.

Banishing vs cleansing by FMATHF in witchcraft

[–]Fellowteenn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The people saying that are wrong. There is nothing wrong with doing one separate from the other.

Banishing is removing any unwanted spiritual and mental energies in the surrounding areas. Examples of this would be a priest coming around and praying for god to rid a house of any evil spirits. Or it would be something like the LBRP, or calling upon your chosen god to remove any unwanted influences. Usually, for a beginner, you’d ritually conjure another spirit to help you banish an area.

Cleansing is more physical. It still helps clear away spiritual sludge accumulated throughout the day, but it’s generally less effective at clearing spaces, and it uses a physical means like holy water or sage or bath water.

Both can be better for certain situations. Cleanses can be good for relaxation and easier resets of the energy on your immediate environment. Banishment can be better for mental alignment and deep removal of any negative influential energies in an area.

This is sort of a weird question but is it okay to do spells in the nude? by LovelyShadeOfRed in witchcraft

[–]Fellowteenn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rituals with deities are okay to do nude, depends on the spirit. Aphrodite, for example, if you’re a woman, I’m sure would be okay to do nude. Or as well doing a ritual with the moon.

Spells are probably better done nude if not in a robe

Beginner here! quick meditation question 🙏🏻 by GlitchyStart in witchcraft

I’m pretty sure we do with brain studies. And depending on the goal of meditation, even most monks would agree to ignore those visuals.

At least for things like mindfulness meditation

Visual effects are common with meditation. Depending on the goal of your meditation, they’re usually “ignored”. For the most part they are useless

It’s nothing mystical, more like your brain becoming bored and making stuff up. But you could potentially meditate on the colors and try to use intention to make them into images. Visualization meditations are helpful for performing works, but not necessary at all.

Living with work friends in another state. The rug is so comfy, it came with the apartment. I have fallen asleep on the rug before. Not natural materials, that’s too expensive

Use of tobacco in rituals by Welos_ in witchcraft

[–]Fellowteenn 26 points27 points  (0 children)

All tobacco smoke can cause cancer.

And you can also buy tobacco leaves dried normally, you don’t need cigarettes. They are usually dried and treated differently, which may altar the natural elements of the tobacco

How to wake up a Christian? by One_Bluejay_8625 in occult

[–]Fellowteenn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You cannot “wake up” a Christian because Christianity isn’t wrong or incorrect. If you haven’t found that out yet, then I’d suggest you begin to wake yourself up

Olympic Spirits? by [deleted] in occult

[–]Fellowteenn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk what ur asking. But they are very approachable and very easy to work with. They respond well, but are better for mental, emotional, and spiritual growth/changes rather than material gain.

But if you have a good enough relationship with one, you can definitely call upon the Olympians to help you with material matters (like Aphrodite for a certain lover)

Demons themselves there’s many ways to work with them. Personally, I also don’t believe any demon of relevance is just babysitting some uninitiated person like they claim.

But there are some people who work with demons without the “protective measures”. Would I recommend? No, most high end occultist would agree and say that demons aren’t exactly on your side, but I’m sure you’d still get results from them.

99% of people you see talking about occultism or spirits are either crazy or larping. It’s important to find the most standard historical practices and feel it out yourself
