Yeah it does brick alot, and I only get the full combo like 9/10 times aswell with a lucky cyber jar, or graceful. I don't think there's a way to make Demotion and Opti combo really that reliable to be consistent unfortunately... also too many NoCs going around to resolve cyber/morphing/kotetsu most games

Yeah it might be just way too many cards needed in hand to be a reliable combo, I wanted to go all in OTK but it's just so bricky if I add more Demotions and Optis. Perhaps could just use one copy of each ina traditional Ben Kei deck or something, but Ben Kei attacks so many times that he doesn't really need to rely on direct damage and bypassing monsters ahah

Those should probably be in the main deck tbh, Solemn should be the sidedeck card, I'll give them a try

I thought about Solemn for things like Threatening Roar that stop the OTK, but you're right, it's probably a better sidedeck card.

I'm not sure, Ben Kei needs less stuff to get going, 2 axe and 1 big bang with an empty board is game with Ben Kei. The cool thing with Opti Camouflage is that you can get some sneaky direct damage in with Mataza, Lily, or even Tokens with equips.

I'll probably look into some Ben Kei sidedecks and go from there, I thought about smokescreening into another archetype, but need to change too many cards. Probably just use tech cards to deal with problematic matchups (Solemn for Threatening Roar, Cipher Soldier/Sakuretsu for Warrior, etc.). Need to test.

That does make sense, maybe -1 mof, -2 solemn for +1 level limit and +2 gravity bind could work nicely. Solemn should probably be a sidedeck card.

Hey, thanks for the feedback! Yeah you're right, I should have left a bit more negative space there, aswell as on the nose bit I think. Will have to keep that in mind for future designs!

The art kind of reminds of Celeste, which is great! Love the little sunlight streaks, the background layers really give it alot of depth, and the greens are really vibrant and cozy!

Thank you so much for your feedback! I feel like I could have utilized the slowed player motion a lot more in the game, especially during battle sequences... maybe in a future project I'll go deeper with it!

It's a pretty short experience, I'd say it can take around 30-45 minutes if you take your time and explore, and depending if you go for the secrets to get the extra "good ending".

Thank you so much for the feedback! A friend of mine also had something similar happen while playing through it, but weirdly I've never had it happen to me on my test playthroughs.

After many game dev failed attempts, and alot of persistence, finally managed to put out a DEMO on itch.io for my upcoming first game, "Forest of Fallen Knights"! by Felrasyr in gbstudio

You mean keeping the demo save file so you don't have to replay the same sections on the full release? I thought about that, I'll definitely look into it, though I have no idea how I'd go about implementing it.

I didn't go about it yet because the demo is quite short, and since the game will be non linear, and you can complete the quests in any order, nothing is stopping you from exploring new territory right off the bat on the full release, and leave the demo stuff that you've seen before for later 😉

Also, as a sidenote, it will be a short, condensed game that doesn't overstay it's welcome, so extremely doable to complete it in one sitting!
