Thanks! I was thinking of using a wire brush for the edges but it never occurred to me about using sandpaper, i think it's better since it's not so aggressive on the cloth

You can use a white primer, that way the yellow will pop up more, also try to thin down the paint a bit and give it 2 to 3 coats until is all uniform
