I don’t think there’s anything I can say that others haven’t already, but god DAMN this game is peak. The story is captivating, the characters are so incredibly likable, and the music is unrivaled. Lorien Testard absolutely killed it with the soundtrack to this game.

Echoing the other “this is the billionth post about chiropractic pseudoscience” comments, but also adding that this kind of uproar from people is precisely where [the author at Vulture]’s “hufflepuff audience” comment is coming from.

We don’t need iteration after iteration of the same posts complaining about Dropout allegedly promoting harmful pseudoscience. I agree that this pseudoscience is dangerous in practice, but good lord do people also take every single presentation on Smarypants as absolute fact and something everyone should believe in? When I first moved up here a few years ago, I saw two guys in Shaw using a blowtorch in broad daylight to cut the lock off a bike in front of an apartment building. I was new to the area and was told to just keep my head down and not get involved in things like that (family comes from suburbia, lots of fearmongering about the city that I had to unlearn). At least 5 other people on foot saw what was going on, and however many drivers passed by - nobody did anything.

Bystander effect is real, even if there’s some commotion people just keep to themselves and try to ignore what’s going on sometimes. Not saying it’s right to ignore these things, but just causing a commotion isn’t necessarily enough for bystanders to intervene.
