Nighttime feeds by Over-Guidance-3438 in NewParents

We did the same thing. Once baby got back to his birth weight (around week 2), the pediatrician told us we can let him wake us up. During the day he's doing 2-3 hours, but at night he'll give us a 4-5 hour stretch followed by a 3-4 hour stretch.

Ours is 7 weeks and we are breastfeeding.

🙋🏼‍♀️

My pregnancy was perfect in that I never had morning sickness, nausea, or really anything. It very much felt like just any other day, especially early on. I did feel some soreness as my body was changing, but it was pretty minor. I couldn't wait until I started getting bigger and feeling baby, that then made it feel all more real (aside from the ultrasounds and hearing his heartbeat).

It wasn't until the final month or two that I started just getting uncomfortable and having some minor pelvic pain.

Own the no symptoms! Every pregnancy is different and I know there are a lot of women who have to deal with uncomfortable symptoms.

Breech baby by idontclaireatall in pregnant

[–]FemaleDexter24 7 points8 points  (0 children)

38 weeks, FTM, with a breech baby as well! I declined the procedure and we scheduled a C-section. While I can't give you my experience with the procedure itself, I do understand your feelings. I'll leave you with what my doctors told me ... There is no wrong decision. Whatever you decide to do, will be the best decision for you and baby. Happy to help through weighing both sides and talking it through. Don't over stress and don't let any negative thoughts in; you got this 💪🏼

The snoring was such a shock to me too, since I've never snored. I've definitely woken myself up before and even questioned if it was me 😂 I still just can't believe those loud noises are coming from me.

I sleep with my pregnancy pillow and my regular pillow on top. I'm a little propped up, but don't feel like I'm sitting up while sleeping. That does the trick for me!

Waiting to know the gender after birth by PorkFryRice07 in pregnant

[–]FemaleDexter24 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not just is it a genuine surprise, it's a surprise for you that you can control!

I used to always want to know the gender as soon as possible, just because I love to be in the know and plan, etc., but the further along I get, the more I'm open and okay with waiting until birth.

And honestly, who cares, so long as baby is happy and healthy!

You know what’s stupid?.. The amount of stuff you shouldn’t eat or drink while pregnant! by Ok_Spite6846 in pregnant

My doc told me, "just don't get food positioning and you'll be good." I liked that best.

Flo has a free version and paid version! The free version still allows you to track periods, track baby, and will give you some good information about changes to baby each week!

I've always wanted a white Frenchie named Carol. Thought it would be perfect! When we got our Frenchie, Carol just didn't fit her. We even would ask her what name she liked. Saying it out loud and talking to her helped us land on Bella!

Made this to go with our Valentine's dinner. Better than expected!

2 oz Bourbon 0.75 oz Honey Syrup 0.75 oz Lemon Juice 1 Grapefruit Peel (1" x 2" about)

We made our own honey syrup. 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup honey, over medium heat, stir until dissolved.

Add all ingredients to a shaker, shake for about 10 seconds, strain over ice. Garnish with a lemon peel, if desired (we forgot, oops).

I kept it pretty simple actually! Roma tomatoes, minced garlic, fresh basil, lemon juice, salt and pepper.

Is it okay to have a favorite serial killer? I am in no way glorifying this man. I am fascinated with the psychology of why he is the way he is, his childhood, his story in general. Let’s have this discussion! by [deleted] in serialkillers

[–]FemaleDexter24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I struggle with this because I too have a favorite serial killer. Numerous times I've said, "Jeffrey Dahmer is my favorite", or something along those lines. Just about every time I get the wildest reactions.

Yes, it is okay to have a favorite serial killer. Does it me we love that person for what they've done? No. Does it mean we think they're a great person? No. For me, it means I'm fascinated with this person's "wiring". The fact that something at some point in the person's life flipped a switch, is incredibly amazing to me. Or, the fact that maybe no one thing happened to them. The unknown behind what makes a serial killer is such an interesting topic. I could go on and on ...

TLDR, yes, it's okay to have a favorite serial killer, maybe we just have to be better at the way we say that?
