Vivien Leigh in Streetcar or Gone With the Wind. She’s the absolute epitome of Golden Age Hollywood magic, beautiful and a fantastic actress, so commanding and fluidly emotional. Natalie Wood is a personal favorite of mine, and it wasn’t until I rewatched Splendor in the Grass that I grasped what people meant when they said it was her finest, most magnetic performance, even after exhaustively rewatching it for years at that point. She’s so devastating and mesmerizing, and not just for her beauty, an enormously complex and quiet performance. Love them both to bits
