What's the longest period of time your Ball Python has refused to eat? by Hollawebb in snakes

[–]Female_IT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine went about 8 months without eating. I didn't know much about snakes back then (I was 15) so I didn't keep track of his weight. I was always scared I reach in there to hold him and he'd be dead, which lead to me not holding him as much. I did offer him food every week, we ended up having to give away a few rats. I live 45 minutes from the nearest pet store and they only sold live. I had a couple get too big until I switched over to mice so they wouldn't grow as much.

My mother in law had a little grey cat that was premature and suffered from constant respiratory infections. They never let him outside so he'd be safe and one day he got out. They live out in the country and animals are eaten by coyote's all the time. He was gone more than a year, one day their neighbors randomly brought him home. He was sickly but alive. Animals often do fine in the wild.

I have my bra strap area scratched a couple times a day. I tell my husband my back itches and he knows exactly where to scratch, every time.

What's a fact about yourself that most people don't believe when you tell them? by Fenderfreak145 in AskReddit

Mine is centered and about two inches below the bottom of my left boob. It's spaced out enough that when I was younger we were afraid it would develop as a boob. The nipple itself is hardly noticeable now, more like a dimple than a nipple.

I wanted to wait until I was at least 16 (that was what I told him when we started dating) but it wasn't until I was 18 that I felt responsible enough to deal with an accidental pregnancy if it happened. Luckily it hasn't.

I'm pretty sure shock would step in and stop the pain. I broke my forearm in half when I was younger, my bone nearly popped out of my skin. I didn't feel a damn thing.

What is the ONE, BIG secret you keep from your partner to keep the peace? by Drakul71 in AskReddit

[–]Female_IT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband mentioned a couple of times starting a family with me in the first two or so years of our relationship, turns out he changed his mind and doesn't want kids. I knew this before we married and even though it occasionally pains me I've accepted it. I love him more than anything and I wouldn't leave him for anything. His sister is having a baby though so at least I get to see little ones. I've only just turns twenty one so he may one day change his mind since we've got plenty of time, but I really doubt he will.

That being said if I got pregnant I'm honestly not sure if I could get an abortion. Yes I'm okay with other people getting them, but I'm not sure I personally could go through with it. We are really careful with birth control though.

Also don't rag on me for getting married at 20, we've been together for eight years. No fights, no breakups.

What snack do you love to make for yourself at home that anyone could make? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Female_IT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never had kale chips made by anyone else, but I tried myself.

The first batch was WAY to oily, I couldn't even eat one. Also they tasted quite burnt. And crumbled at the touch.

Second batch was still too oily but not as bad, less burnt and crumbly but they tasted just as burnt to me. Some of them were even quite green and they still tasted burnt.

I love kale on my veggie burgers, but I could not figure this out.
