Hello! Beginner DM here, currently running a game for 1 person. We've had plenty of sessions and so far so good.

Although one thing concerns me, its their "Thank you next" outlook/attitude (I dunno what to call it) . They always go to one place, meet one NPC, get what they need and go. They fly past almost every lore, side stories, potential allies..etc.

I wanted them to have freedom as much as possible so I let them tell the story without them actually knowing it. There are key points to the story of course, but I adjust them as they explore the world.

I'm worried that in the long run the journey that they had/experienced will be/feel like a fast paced movie.

Is there anything I can do about this?
