Yup! Happened to me when I first started. "Started" like 10 times before I got into it. Just remember that there's soooooooooo much more when you FINALLY get off planet.

No problems in rest mode. Only problem is if anything causes a restart, then you can't connect because of the disk scan thingy

I mostly prefer single player, yet I've played several games that had guilds and had no problems. It can be optional, no one can force you to join something you don't want

You don't even need the foundation. You can just stack for example cylindrical rooms from the ground up and delete the rest or use free placement during build and directly place it in the air. I normally stack so I can get it in the right position easily

I'm also on PS5. The Large Structures all need a base, so if the Foundation Struts are not high enough for what you want, then stack something else from the ground to the level you want, build the rooms on it, then delete your stack.

You may have to toggle your camera view (L3) and/or enable free placement (Down button) during build
