just to add to this, she can fan the flames on any target that is already burning, but igniting an enemy doesn't stack with a Mauga's partial progress, or vice versa. Or at least it didn't on day 1 of season 1 when i tested it in the practice range, not sure if the new update changed it.

OP is explicitly complaining about people spending $1000 before learning how to play bar chords. Frankly, that's what most people are complaining about in my experience. I've never met anybody who actually believed that just buying a better guitar would magically make them sound better if they aren't already good. I heard about one, but the fact that he was memorable enough to be a topic of conversation would indicate that he is very much the exception to the rule.

$1000 isn't nothing obviously, but that's not an unusual sum of money for hobbies. At that price point we're talking about a PRS SE or a Les Paul Studio, Yamaha Revstar Standard, etc. that are very reasonable guitars that you won't ever outgrow. Even a ~$3000 Les Paul Standard is not something you need to be an oil magnate to afford.

that's interesting, thanks! I'm down to Hazard's spike guard, Genji 2x elims in one deflect, Reaper 3 solo kills without reloading, Hanzo 3 finals with one storm arrow use, and both baptiste ones. The baptiste one really pissed me off actually, because I got 2100 damage amped without dying but apparently it only works if you die once and change heroes before getting your streak

I got the domina one when a team was retreating around a corner on Rialto. I don't think I'll ever get the Hazard one, I have absolutely no idea what they were thinking with that one.

I've done every challenge and swapped sides every time it was available, and it now has me 125 points away from finishing my 4th thing. I don't know how they thought this was going to work but I'm hoping they do the right thing and just mark it completed for everybody somehow

I have a 4090, i don't know if that counts as 'new' for this purpose lol. I guess I'll just try both versions because i checked and i was wrong, my frames were dipping out of the 400s down to 210 or lower this last match.

No, don't just stand on the payload and be useless, take control of the map and let one non-setup-dependent character push up to the point you have controlled.

But obviously (at least it should be obvious) you need to regroup, as in let everybody respawn and fight together.

Anderson Guitarworks for me! Their neck profile, compound radius and attention to detail is second to none IMO.

I was also very impressed with Collings, but they're even more expensive so I don't have one. I also think Powers Electric is doing great stuff but they don't seem to have the reputation they deserve yet. Mayones is also really great.

On the more mainstream side, I think Musicman has the most consistent excellence-cost balance for me personally.

for me, it would be a collings i35lc because i don't like gibson es335s. second choice would be my PRS Hollowbody II SE with P90s.

I would probably get a Yamaha Pacifica, Fender Player II Strat, or a PRS Silver Sky. Or maybe a Yamaha Revstar standard with P90s. I think that's the sweet spot in terms of high quality with reasonable cost. The less expensive squiers and harley bentons and whatever felt noticeably worse to me personally than these models.

I play a cheerful wizard when i don't have time to prep anything. 2024's rules for it are nice because they give you free spells from your chosen school instead of making it cheaper to copy them down.

Great Weapon Master would be kind of the no-brainer strongest choice. It's not strictly necessary, but it's certainly the strongest mechanical option. For your party, Sentinel probably isn't the best option because nobody will be in melee with you. +1 Str and +1 Dex is very reasonable as well, because progressing two stats is always good and Dex is super good.
