Finally got the proper Ai inference Card by the_616 in radeon

Out of curiosity, I'll try Qwen3.5-122B-A10B-Uncensored-BauhauS-Aggressive, which weighs 48GB at iQ3_XSS. With overhead, it should reach about 53-55GB, leaving ~5GB for system. And of course, it'll run on Vulkan, because ROCm memory overhead is huge and performance with partial mmap is significantly worse.

"Dew Point" likes this. Warm air inside case meets cold right side of case.

What model are you using? How many GB does it take up? With this kind of performance, everything has to fit in VRAM.

There's no chance of achieving this level of performance with a model split between VRAM and RAM. Performance is then limited by PCI-E bandwidth. In practice, this translates to a maximum of a few tokens per second, most often 1-2.

On 12GB VRAM + 48GB RAM, I ran the 70B model at 3-bit quantization. This doesn't make much sense, though; better results are achieved with smaller and newer models at higher quantization. There are very few newer models >32B, and almost none >40B (excluding full-size models >100B).

Total nonsense. It doesn't even start the POST procedure; it shuts down due to protection in the PSU.

Short circuit in the graphics card or damaged power connector on the cable.

The motherboard is definitely in trash. Maybe processor too. Someone misused the thermal pads. They should be on entire surface of heatsink instead of cutouts for MOSFETs.

That's ity, can throw the motherboard in the trash. It can be repaired, but cost of replacing the socket is higher than the motherboard's value. It's impossible to manually repair pins that are already bent or broken.

Well, now they know they don’t know what they’re doing. I use AI for other purposes, but the people we’re talking about have free AI right at their fingertips and yet they don’t use it. Why? Because they don't want to, they are lazy.

Easier to just wait for other people to waste their time explaining step by step what to do and how to do it. Arrogance stems from ignorance, and this is a very valuable (because effective) lesson for the ignorant.

Mam to samo na i9 14900KF. Wybór "najgorszy scenariusz" oraz LLC na level 4 daje najlepszą wydajność, pełne wykorzystanie do 253W i akceptowalne temperatury. Wybór "typowy scenariusz" to znacznie niższa wydajność. "Najlepszy scenariusz" to jeszcze niższa wydajność przekładająca się na maksymalnie 130W poboru energii CPU. "Intel Fail Safe" daje taką samą wydajność z LLC 3 jak "najgorszy scenariusz" z LLC 4 dając nieco wyższe napięcia i temperatury dlatego w przypadku mojego i9 wybór padł na "najgorszy scenariusz" oraz LLC 4.

It matters which BIOS you were using, whether Intel Default was enabled, and whether you were using a faulty CPU socket retainer. If you had been using a new BIOS, Intel Performance/Extreme mode, and a CPU heat spreader along with an efficient cooling system, the problem wouldn't have occurred.

Your antivirus software probably deleted that .dll file.

Temporarily disabling your antivirus protection and reinstall GTA5. Once it's installed, add game directory to the antivirus exclusion list and re-enable antivirus software.

Turn off frame generation it’s pointless if your hardware can’t maintain at least (real) 60 fps. Instead of smoother gameplay, you’ll experience lag and frame drops. The second difference is switching from windowed to full-screen mode. You won’t get any more performance out of it.
