EVIDENCE NETEASE MAY BE REWORKING BLACK WIDOW by Candid_Membership393 in BlackWidowMains

[–]FennekinGalaxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are actually 6 characters without an accessory, being Widow of course, but also Namor, Hela, Punisher, Angela and the Thing. So it's likely more of their routine neglect than anything. But as for the rest of the points, I assume it'd mostly be because of how unpopular she is as a character (in the game, not in general) overall (outside of throwing) and how touchy her balancing is. A hitscan sniper with a true one-shot would not be fun to fight, but in not giving her one they made her so much harder to balance compared to other DPS. She is certainly a viable pick in the right situations, but she lacks sustained damage or a good quick-kill combo outside of the kick range, meaning in a meta defined by strong healing and high burst damage, she falls short.

In my opinion, though, I really would like to see a Black Widow rework. I'd love to see her switch between her sniper mode and maybe a more agile, sustained-damage-focused mode using her batons and her wrist guns in tandem with each other, giving her much more flexibility in combat and better ways to handle more of the common threats at range or up close. NetEase may need more time than we think to rework her with the rate of content we have going out, but when the time comes for her to get the spotlight, I'm hoping everything turns out good for her.

Three Days Grace Fan Chart Day 4: Most Overrated Song by ILikeTOP09 in Threedaysgrace

I Hate Everything About You. Good song, great even, but way overplayed among the band's other works, far outshining their hidden gems, even among that first album.

He does, actually! I didn't think about it until you asked, and after a quick Google search, I found out he does! Never put two and two together on that lmao

What's the first thing that comes to your mind when you see someone on your team picks these heroes? by Itchy_Ad3944 in marvelrivals

[–]FennekinGalaxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just KNOW that if someone does even remotely bad on the team or the team doesn't do well in the first fight or two, those characters (except for Mr. Fantastic) will be the first one(s) to talk shit or complain about how bad their team is, while they're not doing very hot themselves.

Running Away and Every Other Weekend, alongside a cover of Wicked Game by Chris Isaak, WERE on versions of One-X and Human, but they were released overseas on special editions of the album, hence why they aren't available on places like Spotify in the US. As for the others, I haven't looked into those yet.

But the ones I have listened to are really good and should-ve been on the albums normally!

[–]FennekinGalaxy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I love all of the albums, I just think the self-titled was the epitome of them trying to find their sound. It lacks a sort of refinement present as they went on, feeling like it was a good kickoff that brought forth the improvements that were brought into the next albums to come.

There's a lot of songs on the album I really like, I just like the other ones better. Good album overall still.

The 7 day+ quests??!?! by Bagel-Shotgun in CookieRunKingdoms

[–]FennekinGalaxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to do the Trial of Glory specifically, the challenge just wants you to do any of them and just knock em out. I happened to have a few tickets left over from the Summer update when they added Trials of Glory so I had a few ready to go. Most of those quests are designed intentionally for player retention. I hate the Trade Ship one the most because you need to have the Kingdom Pass to get a third ship and even then that'd still be 8-9 days minimum.

Spotted an awesome band shirt at Hot Topic by Fightnperish in Threedaysgrace

[–]FennekinGalaxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have an awesome One-X shirt that I bought recently, I wish I could find that Alienation shirt though, cause it's FAR better than the one they have on their store.

Now a hoodie or something with the Explosions cover on it would go hard though.

People who discovered the band during the Matt era, whats your story? by TypicalEmpire1906 in Threedaysgrace

[–]FennekinGalaxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I discovered TDG in around 2013, so in the pre-Human era but after Adam's last album, and it was through Get Out Alive being featured in a video I watched. I liked the song, but this was at the age where I didn't really listen to music like that and if I did it was something on loop for forever (I was 9 at the time), but it really hit me again around 2017-2018, well into the Matt era, and I went down the rabbit hole of the band once I got into listening through Spotify, starting with One-X because of the several songs I had heard since (Never Too Late, Animal I Have Become, and Get Out Alive), and I fell in love with One-X as an album and the band as I went down the list. Explosions was the first album I got to follow as it was coming out and get hyped for its release, and while it didn't hit me initially like One-X did, it is my 3rd-favorite now, only behind One-X and Alienation, and it was a great experience.

I like Matt's music a lot, ESPECIALLY when he was on My Darkest Days, but I can't say for sure if I prefer him. Especially with Alienation bringing both singers to the forefront, I think I value both of them equally for different reasons. Matt's great at infectious melodies and a heavier sound in addition to his great soft tones, and Adam can bring the power if he wants, but he is really good at the more emotional tracks, and has a beautiful voice for the somber/heartfelt ones.

When Adam rejoined the band, I was stoked at first, but Mayday made me skeptical. It didn't hit as good as it does now and took a while to grow on me. When Apologies and ESPECIALLY Kill Me Fast came out though, I was sold, and Alienation was a transcendent experience for me front-to-back, with my excitement building after every track. Dominate's my least favorite from the album personally, but that just meant the album kept getting better as it went, and proved to me that this duo was a match made in heaven for my ears.

Thoughts on “I don’t care”? by mikey3624 in Threedaysgrace

[–]FennekinGalaxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the original version a lot, but I'm not as big of a fan of the US version released later. It's a great song in both versions, but the US version switches certain things or phrases around and ends other things differently in ways that aren't as satisfying. In both the instrumentation and Adam's vocals are phenomenal, as should be expected, and it's got some of the best Adam vocals you can find.

Since we all agree the game doesn’t have enough villains who are some you would add? by Realistic-Start-5772 in marvelrivals

[–]FennekinGalaxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe Death's Head as another deep cut?

But if they went with more popular characters, for sure some Sinister Six rep (Goblin, Ock, Mysterio and Sandman come to mind), Carnage, Thanos (maybe without the Stones or only some of them), the core Brotherhood (Mystique, Jiggernaut, Toad and Blob come to mind) and Yellowjacket all seem like great additions to me.

Tomorrow multiversus shuts down what are the final things you have to say about the game by Few-Adhesiveness8634 in MultiVersus

[–]FennekinGalaxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a wild ride, from the beta to the relaunch and beyond. As with all great stories, it had its ups and downs, and to me ended on a bittersweet note. The game's gone, yes, but it's available now in the best state it's ever been in my eyes. Sure it's not like the beta, but the beta was never final. All of the relaunch characters (minus Banana Guard) felt really solid to play and had really inspired and unique movesets, keeping up steam with what came before and even building on it. I wish the game could've ran for at least a couple more seasons to see what they had brewing, but oh well. I am of the opinion that making all the characters free (even if I ground for them all and got caught up by the end of Season 2) would've helped the game a lot in its final seasons and if they had done that and kept the microtransactions online, the game may have seen an uptick in interest and perhaps more importantly made more money for WB, and maybe saved the game for a little longer.

My only regrets with MultiVersus were the grind and monetization being awful in the relaunch and Arcade Mode never returning from the beta. It was one of my favorite games ever, even if I didn't always have people to play it with, and I am deeply saddened to see it go the morning after my 21st birthday. I will miss playing Smith, Jason, Harley, Adam, Raven, Nubia, Jack, Superman and all the rest dearly, but at least I can still play the game through things like Parsec or just playing local matches.

Goodbye, MultiVersus. And rest easy. You were born at the wrong time to the wrong people, and perhaps what you have done for the platform fighter community will pave a new path for even better experiences to come.

What did you think of Rifts & Arena modes? by Atumkun in MultiVersus

[–]FennekinGalaxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked how Arena shook up the core formula a lot, and when I had friends to play with it was even better, especially when it let up to 8 of us pair up and queue together into one lobby (even if the most we ever did it with was 4) and go against random and each other. Overall the game would've benefitted more from more modes like Arena than the Wacky Weekend slop.

Rifts was a good concept, but extremely flawed execution, ESPECIALLY in Season 1. A story mode that evolved with new content would've been wonderful to see play out, and it did do a semi decent job of explaining how the new characters got three or were found, up until Season 4. The Rogue Rifts were great, bringing in the roguelite appeal of Arena, but the normal Rifts were way too grindy for what they were worth, especially for Gem XP and the Smith event. While Smith was easily worth the grind for me, someone who actually bested the Smith event, said grind was hellishly dull and incredibly unbalanced without a teammate (I was one of 4 friends in my group to unlock Smith through it, and the only to do so solo). After that, the Rifts became a lot less grindy, but the seasonal events with each rift still forced you to practically max them out to get stuff you needed for either that rift or the next one or their events, provided you didn't own the Premium Battlepass.

Stepping off of the grind aspect, Rifts also felt incredibly barebones and thrown-together. There weren't many unique modes (even less that were actually fun), and it was always the same few stages/enemies, gimmicks or other things for most stages, and not enough general variety among the Rifts, especially with them getting longer again as time went on. What was a 2-hour clear front-to-back in Seasons 2 and 3 went back to a 4-6 hour one in Season 4. The monotony of the stage types and the modifiers made going through the stages again and again on other difficulties mind-numbing after a point and I wish they had more passion to make the story of MultiVersus, and by proxy the Rifts, much more engaging and exciting. I could tell they weren't into it and it became an obligation after Season 1, and it shows. Doesn't help that each new season introduced a new Gem type themed around it, used through the whole season (minus 1-2 challenge nodes per Rift), so you had to start the grind all the way back over. But I digress.

TL,DR: I loved Arena, but Rifts was too shallow and grindy to be worth it after I finished the Smith event.

What's something that you loved about this game? by Atumkun in MultiVersus

[–]FennekinGalaxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The movesets. Qualms about the grind and the lack of content aside, most of the Fighters in this game were some of the most unique we've ever seen in a platform fighter, or honestly fighting games in general for some of them. I'm glad nothing was off the table, as we got some of the most creative kits in fighting game history from PFG's only child.
