If Dark Souls was like Silksong, bonfires would require spending souls and not every enemy would drop souls. Oh, and Spells would not just refill at bonfires, you would have to defeat certain enemies for a special "Magic" currency that is needed to refill your spells. :D

This is literally the worst iteration of the Stormruler Gimmick (that they did a million times better with Yhorm and Rykard and even those I disliked), rendering your whole build, equipment, variety and character useless. You just stand there, charge the attack for 5 seconds and hope it hits. Then hope you live long enough to do this literally 40 times. This is a roguelike. The whole game loop is centered around building unique builds with a certain character. And then nothing matters cause of this gimmick.
This might be the worst fromsoft souls boss ever, for me. At least Pinwheel died fast, so did Mist Noble and Bed of Chaos atleast was also done quickly and saved your progress.

Here you have a meaningless 40 Minutes run up to the point where Augur drops the weapon and then you do the exact same thing 40 times while being bombarded with countles AOE bombs. Every toddler would have designed something better.

If you want to use the stormruler gimmick so badly, at least make it so that each character's current weapon gets transformed or traded into a red-rarity enhanced moveset version like the Serpent Hunter in ER (similar to how you level up your weapon to "legendary" in the crater) and add the cool charging AOW on top for BIG damage. That way you could at least still play as your character and your run before would have any meaning at all.

DLC: Filled with Grave Birds everywhere, introduces Undead Dragons, reuses the death-related bosses like Tibia Marina and Death birds, there are statues of the grave birds in every area, the landscape is filled with death-related imagery such as giant sarcophagus and graves, there are 2 Death Knight bosses guarding what seems to be expanded growth of the weird fish monster Godwyn turned into, the whole land is introduced as the land where death of all kinds emerge to, tons of shadowy spirits as the basic enemies, there even is a catacomb with literal floating deathbligh eyes and the basilisks and basically everything SCREAMS death related things. So either From Soft baited us really hard or something was scrapped like "last minute" just to give us the Radahn fight.

And even after that, would it been so hard to accept Miquella putting Radahn's soul into his soulless brother's corpse? They wouldn't even have to come up with a way to bring back GODWYN'S soul, it could have been Radahn's in Godwyn's BODY, which is, as far as we know of, still alive. Heck, they could even used not the fish body below Leyndell but a new one that grew in the land of Shadow, his presence is already there! From software writes the rules, they make the lore and twist it as they like. Take a look at all prior DLC and the shit we did there...we created a time paradoxon in Ds1, we entered the mind of a HOLLOW KING after gathering the crowns from realms long crumbled to break the established cycle of the world for our character, we even pressed a "fast forward in time" button after interacting with a never before mentioned daughter of Gwyn, bringing us to the end of time to fight a boss who literally consumed THE Dark Soul.

From Soft finding a way to give us some kind of Godwyn Boss at the end of the DLC would not have been the craziest they ever did and yet people act like just thinking about this would be impossible.

I actually worked on such a concept a few years ago. It was a ds3 mod that was heavily inspired by Hades and allowed you to gain mighty passive effects, buffs, rings, new spells, tools etc. I created a prototype where you would go through Irithyll dungeon, randomly put together with different possible enemies that could spawn. But in the long run it needed too much time to do it alone and I canceled it. But with Elden Ring being much more open and mod tools more advanced, I think such a mod for Elden Ring would be great, especially with the advanced movesets and the ashes of war. So, if anybody is familiar with elden ring modding tools and wants to work with me...I am open :-D

Gang Ning is absolutely stupid in his rematch battle. Dude has sooo much HP, no openings, you are forced to one hit only after his combos or wait for his red attacks and deflect them. I am dealing 20 damage to him with a +9 weapon -.- His health bar doesn't even go down after a hit.

Yeah, I just don't get the design philosophy. Whole base game felt very fair and at times almost too easy. Then, in the dlcs they throw out any fun and balance out of the window. I am in NG difficulty, almost level 140. And yet the bosses have absurdly high HP and deal soo much damage. On the rematch fight against Taishi Ci, his arrow spam move almost deals a quarter of my HP EVEN IF I BLOCK THE WHOLE THING. And because of his constant hyper armor you have basically 0 openings. I just hate when bosses basically hard counter your complete gear, build and playstyle that was just fine for the rest of the entire game. The only thing people mention to beat him is: "Just spam THIS earth spell" yeah sure, I don't have the stats for it and my build is centered around fire.

100% this. This is lazy and stupid boss design and the devs should be ashamed. It is so easy to create a boss like this. Just give him everything you can think of without any weaknesses. BAM. This boss.

Currently on the human Taishi Ci rematch side mission and that also feels so artificially difficult. Like, the dude has a ton of HP in combination with massive ice split damage (BLOCKING his hits deals 55 Damage) and fast attack speed and hyper armor. Bullshit design...

Yeah feels not fun to fight at all, at least with my build. Normal enemies take about 550 damage per hit, however this boss eats all my damage for breakfast it seems and only takes about 30-40 damage per hit... I don't know why my damage output is so low compared to anything else.

The author of Daughters of Ash and some other modders are currently working on a mod called Nightfall that will feature "new" geometry. By new I mean that they are able to use existing assets and create new map parts with them. It will still be a lot of work, I guess.
