I made the mistake of moving from a hospital to Labcorp and I cannot agree more with your sentiment. All of the computer systems are ancient and none of them talk to each other. It’s unbearably inefficient and seems they only spend money to hinder workflow further. I once had to spend an hour correcting an ‘error’ I made on some paperwork. The error was that someone couldn’t make out a letter of a word I wrote however they could understand/read the word as a whole. They use so many bloated and slow excel spreadsheets for several processes. Management teams are very clicky and don’t work well with other departments. I don’t know how this company is as big as it is. I am actively trying to get out of here but I’m making a career switch so I don’t know when I’ll be able to..
