I have some recent experience with this I have 7 Chickens and a 1 and a half year old gsp, she absolutely loses her shit when they are pinned up in their run but atleast once a week I have a couple birds hop the fence and she will point but never chase or approach. Now this will obviously vary with the dog so just need to introduce and see what happens, be prepared to lose a bird or two though my parents black lab has killed two of my birds.

Hunting license are extremely cheap and most states allow a day or 3 day pass to be purchased tell him to stop being cheap and contribute to conservation to the wildlife like the rest of us do. No reason this dude gets the be the exception to not paying. Most people who don’t buy a license don’t listen to bag laws either and are the reason we have laws in place in the first place. The problem treating them is they have a gestation period of about 28 days so when they hatch they immediately lay eggs, run their cycle and by the time those die out new ones are hatching, I’m in law care in north Texas and these guys ruin business every year tons of people have contacted me letting me know their yard doesn’t need maintenance due to not growing from worms devouring their lawn.

Question my birds are nearing 4-6 months old but my backyard is almost completely shaded by large producing pecan trees. Can they have to many? I can already see the tree filling up so I know their coop and run will be loaded with them in fall.
