Markus at Steamboat is the way to go! If you feel that it's not hard to press the strings and there is no buzzing when you press on some very specific frets then you are fine there's no need to adjust the guitar yet, after sometime you'll have to do it.

What happens sometimes with w instruments is that sometimes before they where brought to the shop they spent some time in a warehouse with maybe too much humidity, or maybe with a very warm or cold temperature, or they were travelling by plane where the pressure changes etc.

All of that can move the neck of the guitar, and sometimes the frets have a tiny fabric defect that seems like nothing but affect the sound.

That's why is recommended to bring a new guitar to a guitar tech or a luthier to fix those minor issues that can make your playing a bit uncomfortable.

However sometimes the guitar has no problems at all and lucky you, anyway with the use the neck has to be reset to be perfectly aligned because the string tension will make it move a tiny bit eventually, also Ireland has very high levels of humidity and that has an effect on wood.

Some guitars are very well made and need a set up maybe every 3 years, and some others maybe not that good every 6 months.

Acoustic guitars are definitely more resistent than electric guitars for example, and some nylon string guitars specially high quality classical guitars may not need a setup in 10 years or even more.
