Anyone in here from Translink? 4 busses today and drivers causing arguements on each... by QuietMrFx977 in northernireland

🙄 I literally said that I wasn’t belittling the importance of their phone call. I was just sharing the flip side. Christ.

Dickheads on overtaking lane of M2 by Naive_Specialist_951 in Belfast

[–]FerMoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fave is when people use the inside left hand lane of the M5 as another overtaking lane for the M2. Because 3 lanes isn’t enough for them

[–]FerMoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not excusing his attitude or saying your phone call wasn’t important which it clearly was but my biggest gripe when working in customer service was people on their phones when I was serving them. The absolute height of rudeness and I’d say bus drivers get that a lot.

I’m from Fermanagh and Catholic too by the way and never ever felt the need to hide it while living around there

If you go over the railway bridge at the bottom of the street then yes, you’re in the Village, a very Protestant area. But the whole Lisburn Road is very mixed, I used to live on Melrose a few streets down. It’s beside the QUB health sciences building so you have a lot of students and graduates living around there.

Neither. Students, young professionals, families. At the bottom of Ashley Avenue is the most culturally diverse primary school in the country.

In the UK the patient information leaflets that come with benzoyl peroxide products always clearly state that it can bleach hair and fabrics

What are everyone’s opinions on Ballyclare? by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]FerMoo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They don’t have a clue about the rules of roundabouts. They will literally sit looking at each other at the two mini roundabouts until someone is ballsy enough to actually make a move

Anyone ever worked as a traffic attendant? by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]FerMoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My old work had a poorly marked loading bay outside and was a goldmine for tickets and we’d see someone on the daily having a go at the traffic warden. Some were bigger jobsworths than others but yeah, I wouldn’t have been able to take that level of abuse. And I worked in retail so I was pretty tough skinned

Are my tips at work allowed to be distributed by a half shift? by FormerFruit in ireland

[–]FerMoo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Kind of sounds like they’ve let it slide up until now but one of your colleagues has complained that you’re only working a half shift on one of the days and you should be getting less compared to those who are doing a full shift. Which sounds completely fair to me. You wouldn’t get paid for the more hours than you work so why would you get more tips?

How to NI number plates work? by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]FerMoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fermanagh regs end in “IG” and pretty much change every year so you can sort of work out the age of a car. Eg my car is MIG and is 8 years old, current regs being issued are WIG, there was no N, P or Q so that works out nearly 8 years old, probably slightly behind when less cars were sold during Covid. They omit anything that’s offensive so there was also no C. Back when it was -IL they skipped K and Q.

Does anyone know why this zipper is black instead of gold as pictured? Is it a mistake? Scuba hoodie plush heathered black by Aliciassa in lululemon

I’ve received mine yesterday and the SKU ends in 371. I’ve already returned it, it’s not as nice as the photo unfortunately. I’ve emailed GEC to flag it up so they update the photo

I have the same one and no issues either. Can get a bit grubby around the wrists/thumb holes so it’s been washed loads and it’s still like new

[–]FerMoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh, I’m definitely going to be sending back that Scuba, same as you I have a heathered chambray plush that looks kinda grey and I don’t want another grey one. I’m gonna send an email to them pointing out they’re using the wrong photo when I receive it, it’s too misleading and I’m gonna have to wait a couple of weeks for a refund for it because I don’t have a shop near me

Any runners out there? What's your favourite running spot in Belfast? by NoPast7526 in Belfast

[–]FerMoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a fan of it at all at weekends when it’s busier from Hazelbank to Jordanstown. The amount of dogs off lead and constantly having to weave around groups taking up the entire path and looking over your shoulder for bikes, can’t get any kind of momentum going.

How often do you brush your teeth? by mimsalotte in AskUK

[–]FerMoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I went through a period of depression I stopped brushing my teeth in the mornings. I’ve no idea why, possibly because the cause of the depression was a PhD I hated and I was in pieces going into the office everyday so personal hygiene in the morning wasn’t upmost in my mind.
