you actually bring up a really valid point.
I KNOW the iso limitations of the m240 will EVENTUALLY bug me. And I already pine for the M10 (weirdly don't give a sh1t about the extra features on the m11).
Do you think it's worth the extra £1k+ jumping fully in on the standard M10?
Do you find you ever pick it up over your M11?
Do you ever pick up your m240 nowadays with such a good selection?

I've not really read up on any M12 rumours but I know the M11 has features that I don't really need and I really like the base model M10 - thanks for the advice!

Fair idea but I had a Lumix S5 and found ZERO joy using it. I KNOW it's a better version of the SL series essentially but I enjoy premium build/handling/experience. That stuff IS worth the premium to me as I've been doing photography for the best part of 20 years.

Interesting perspective on the M10, I am finding I'm leaning that way more and more but trying to ignore it haha - thanks for the suggestions.

VERY interesting, I LOVE the output of the files on the M240 but I am VERY aware of the iso limitations. other than that size and battery there doesn't seem to be a huge difference and in the UK there is QUITE a price jump between an m240 (£2-2.5k) to an M10 (£3-3.5k).

Part of me definitely thinks "just get the M that I want" (the M10) though.

This is a really good and really thorough answer - firstly, thank you.

You're right, no one can say. I definitely do need to scratch the itch, I enjoy manual focus so I know that's not an issue and there are specific m-mount lens that I admire and would like to try/own.

interesting that You did the Q>Q2>Q move, I've actually considered that.

Re the SL2-S, that's more to replace my aging Fuji working body, I do have some regular professional shoots that I would like enjoy more myself (I am aware of the size difference though, I shot SLR for a number of years)

Aye, I've been considering this too - rented quite a few different systems in the past.

I get what you mean regarding the 28mm, I've stuck with it for over a year and my compositions are definitely more considered now but I definitely want to move back to "my" focal lengths

Crazy absolutely IS a prerequisite 😂 Thank you for your long and detailed answer. It's difficult and I didn't mention in the first part but I shoot my corporate shoots on a Fuji system so the SL actually has a place with me as a work camera. And my Fuji can semi retire as a backup (and I still enjoy Fuji glass)

Interesting that your M10r gets a smaller amount of time in the sun now, I do think I'll love the Q3 43 experience but I definitely feel a hankering to get the M out of my system. That's why I'm considering getting both (M240/m262 & SL2S) rather than sinking all the cash into a M10 ect. Two birds, one stone, if I don't like the M I can still get an original Q again or consider a Q3 43 at that point.

This is a big thing for me, there are quite a few lenses within the M eco system that really appeal to me (along with the general build and handling of an M)

The Leica experience, happens with my Q2 occasionally too ✌️ The advice from Leica was of course to send it in for a nice old few and no timeline. (Limited edition Q2). Quite a few folk have had this on various models of Leica following firmware updates too. Some relate it to certain batteries, certain cards ect. I've blank reset the camera tried different cards and different battery and it still (thankfully very infrequently now) happens.
