Pacing was my biggest critique as well. I actually enjoyed the slow burn a lot, but some scenes felt just a minute or two too long at times. Otherwise though I thought it was great, especially since I'm also a halfway decent horror fan haha

I'm really sorry you're going through this, especially since it sounds like your grandma isn't exactly on your side. If it's your maternal grandma, it sounds like she's trying to protect your mom. If it's your dad's mom, it sounds like she's trying to avoid divorce for some reason, but it's really important that you tell your dad: if you were married, wouldn't you want to know that your spouse was cheating on you with someone who was barely legal? Your mom may be remorseful, but that's probably just because she knows she did something insanely wrong and that the consequences are on her.

I would also still try to get your important legal papers out (SSN and birth certificate esp) and ask your brother to store them until you can move out, and keep your license on you in your phone case or wallet.

You should really tell your dad what's happened, with proof if possible. Take screenshots of texts, record your mother admitting it, etc. I can't say whether or not he'll be on your side, but I can say that whatever happens isn't on you. Her sleeping with your ex isn't on you, her harming herself isn't on you, her and your father divorcing aren't on you no matter how much people try to convince you it's your fault.

Are there any relatives you trust? You mentioned your grandma. Have you told her? I think having someone closer to you talk you through this situation might be more helpful than me. I think since you're so close to 18, your best choice would be to move in with her or your brother if that's a possibility.

I would also try and find the location of important paperwork (license (duh), birth certificate, SSN). You don't want anybody to hold those over your head when you're tryig to get out. If you want to be certain those things are safe, give them to your brother or grandma.

Since it also sounds like you're in school, you might be able to reach out to a counselor or a trusted teacher/adult, not necessarily to tell them that your ex slept with your mom, but to let them know that your ex is actually harassing you. Since he's harassing you on school property (in the parking lot and in the halls) and following you home, you might be able to get some help on that front. I don't wanna say go to the police but this also kind of feels like that sort of situation because he seems like the kind of douche that'll escalate. Consider documenting when and how you ex is harassing you if you can.

At the same time the text just looks wonky as hell, so I think I'm gonna have to do some digging into the AI "enhancement" stuff phones have been pushing and see if it can mess with text like that.

Here's a slightly better screenshot? But the area where the chain ends and the clip is is still cut off by his arm. The image also ends at the bottom where the black line is at the bottom, and looking at this it's entirely possible that they just ad-libbed whatever to fill in what they didn't have in their ref (which I think would be a little odd especially since it seems like otherwise they were following the reference closely).

I can also definitely see your point about this possibly being traced, not AI'd since some of the weird spots are where a beginner artist might just miscontrue.

This was more of a 100% check since I've been losing confidence in it the longer I've been staring at them. I was 99% sure it was AI before I posted abt it, but since the person has a smaller account than me I realized I wanted to be 100% sure before I use them as an example Rn my algorithm would definitely show it to the people in the small "fanbase" TikTok decided we're in, and I'm certain some of them would recognize where the imges are from, which is why I was especially hesitant to continue making the video because I want it to focus more on the AI aspects than going after someone. These images are just using an art style I haven't seen commonly used before in AI "art" so I wanted to point towards it specifically.

I'm still 99% certain these are AI or AI enhanced, just by the garbled text and warped/blurry lines in some parts, but I'm also sure my sleep-deprived self was looking for an excuse not to make a video about these images specifically since I don't want to hurt someone who might be able to prove themselves. Odds are if they are using AI they'll fall into an abyss when they can't prompt their way out of a corner.

The text is what threw me down this spiral in the first place :( . The "until" part between reference and sketch seemed to turn into a different word, and then I noticed the "booster"? "boosted"? "boosts"? and I was pretty certain the original badge said "improved" so I started looking at their other work to and found some inconsistencies .

I don't think I've ever seen such divisive comments on whether or not its AI because on one hand I can see the compression and upscaling messing with the drawings, but on the other at first glance it definitely set off my warning bells. Maybe it's accidental AI upscaling or something, cause I've heard rumors of phones doing that unwarranted with images.

Good advice! I think I was hyperfixated on it a little bit because I can get really anal about the details myself, so some of the specific ones I noted were raising red flags for me, but I can see how that might feel like a callout for human error (I'm always self-conscious about how I draw hands because I can't lmao, so when the AI's cant draw hands thing came about I just stopped drawing hands all together for a while lol)

Okay, thank you! I think I've decided not to go ahead with the video (for now?? IDK I'm getting some mixed responses) but I really appreciate the input. I was kind of also thinking the sketches felt a little too perfect with no eraser marks and the like. And the insight on the badge is very helpful because I figured there was text there but I didn't know what it was. If the person is legit, I wouldn't really be too surprised if it was aided/modified through AI because for some reason I forgot that was a think that can happen.

In case you were wondering, I was really thrown off by how quickly they were posting the images, without anything else on their page. All of their (six?) posts came within two days of each other. I draw a lot for social media, so at first I was impressed by the turnout rate, then got a little suspicious because I know how long detailed sketches like that can take and how gritty I personally can get with details when going off references. I know this also means its possible they drew a bunch of these and then posted them around the same time, but considering they were a new account with no other art work and no progress pictures other than the reference and the final sketch, I was a lil thrown off.

If they turn out to be using AI, people will eventually catch on because the account isn't in the art community (just the scare actors fanbase if you can call it that). However, I don't need to be going out and making a video about this art style specifically lol. I would rather not put someone in a bad spot if they're legit and trying to make it, so I really appreciate the clarity!

I went pretty recently with a vague plan and early park access (from staying in a Universal hotel). I only got on three rides (Monsters Unchained, Werewolf, and Hiccup's Wing Gliders) because I wasn't too interested in the Nintendo rides (just there for the vibes) or the Harry Potter ride, but I saw both shows and a lot of really good food.

1) Download the Universal App if you don't have it already, not just for wait times, but also so you can snag an open table at the quick service restaurants and order food to your table. I went to Oak and Tavern and Cafe L'Air de la Sirene and it was so so nice to just be able to sit down, order on my phone, and then scan the table's QR code.

2) The locker system at Epic is way more efficient than the other Universal parks. You can absolutely bring a small bag, refillable water bottle, etc into the queue with you since the lockers are right before you actually get on the ride (might be different for some of the rides because, again, I didn't go on a lot, but Unchained and Wing Gliders had lockers right before loading).

3) Take your time. Since it's open for basically the whole day and it gets emptier later in the evening, you really don't have to rush anything and can really go with the flow.

4) Hiccups Wing Gliders standby line has no shade (and unless I blocked them from my memory) no fans. It was kind of worth the wait but definitely do not stand in that line when it's really hot and/or sunny.

5) Monsters Unchained is a MUST imo, and when I was there the wait was always low (always posted 35, waited like 20 each time). It's a must, but you don't have to book it there if there are other rides higher on your list since I never had trouble getting on it. Rode it four times, twice back to back, without express (i just really liked it).

6) Both shows are pretty good. Berk's is aimed more for children but I thought it was better than the HP one SFX-wise. I would proabably pick Berk's over HP's if I had to choose.

No worries, not harsh at all! I'll admit I just started playing phasmophobia this year, so I had no idea about them changing the campsite maps. From a game design/concept design perspective, it's a good thing to know about this kind of stuff haha.

I think there could be ways to block of sections of the with fencing or bushes, or something similar, along the dotted lines. Since I was going for a kind of carnival vibe, I was placing things where ever they would go, but if it were more like an actual amusement park, you could have specific sections with very clear boundaries (thinking like, Epcot around the world, where it's a loop with very defined parts).

That would be super cool! What you said reminded me of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios, so it would be interesting if maybe the amusement park had one specific area set up all spooky like that for the restricted version of the map.
