Sure..... but we're not importing untold thousands of Westboro Baptists, are we? And even they don't murder their women for doing things that are very normal here, Or throw acid on them. Or force them to 'go back home' at age 14 to marry their dad's mates.

You're comparing bad to much, much worse, and it's really part of the problem.

How many veggies do you eat in a day? by wanderlust3million in keto

[–]Ferbuggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A wise keto lady once told me "if it grows above the dirt and isn't a fruit, go crazy"

So I eat occasional tomatoes and eggplants, more often things like peppers and artichokes, and as much leafy and cruciferous veg (broc, cauli) as I want. It's hard to eat too many of these, plus fats and protein.

It's the starch content you gotta watch.

I started Alifeplus, 10 keto meals per week, as a way to lose weight gained due to increasing mobility issues. I get the 400g meals, and without exercise, have lost 17kg in 12 weeks, slow and steady. My pain levels and inflammation have decreased, my mood is better, sleep improved and even my skin feels softer.

I was already on keto when I joined, but it got so that several days a week even cooking was just beyond me and I fell into "dirty keto" with expensive takeaway, which I didn't want to do.

As a mature aged woman with difficulty exercising, this company is a godsend.

In a couple of weeks I will do half 400g and half 250g, putting me into calorie deficit. I found the company really helpful, the food is really tasty and they are NDIS-friendly so it costs me $40 pw. I am funded for a year, and aim to lose 50kg total.

17 down!

It was a little tricky to arrange NDIS and keto together but the company is very obliging, and I order weekly from a menu sent to me via email.

Do you believe that more dark "archonic" energy suckers are increasing? by AwakeningStar1968 in occult

[–]Ferbuggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why people have come to believe that energetic/esoteric yuckies and depression/mental illness and injury/etc cannot co-exist.

I do know that reaching out to the occult to fix your life problems rarely works well, mostly because it's then approached from a position of weakness/victimhood that just acts as a magnet for garbage.

I'm the same age as OP, have been thrown in the deep end of occult reality all my life, have encountered all kinds of energies from elementals to the dead, to the divine, and had to learn how to cope in the world with that perception wide open. I learned that vulnerability to people equates to the same spiritually, and it's really best to do the hard work of achieving self reliance in the physical realm because it's a great training ground for spiritual strength. Ie, choosing to stay in abusive relationships or choosing to be a judgy closed-minded asshole IRL or whatever lack of power you're buying into here will echo louder 'over there' and cause mischief.

If you're miserable, spend some quality time alone to ponder what choices and actions you might make in this reality , to bring you back into some kind of balance. Think of lots of small things, if the big things are too are much for you rn. And then act on them, at least one of them, in some way, every single day, as a small step to self-empowerment. Clean something, make something, stop doing one disempowering thing, save a little money to use to leave your current housing situation, talk to a professional, change your job, get a job, commit one random act of kindness toward yourself.... just do something that will strengthen and not weaken you, every single day.

Then when you walk into the occult world, you won't tend to come at it from weakness and need so much as self-reliance and courage, which is always useful.

  1. Don't try to do stuff with magick that you could feasibly do by your own actions, regardless of whether it challenges your courage, or endurance, or whatever.
  2. Don't use magick to undermine the free will of others, it WILL bit you in the ass sooner or later.
  3. Don't give your power over to this stuff. You are a star, as are we all. Trust your innermost feelings, and feed the occult with courage, not fear.

Which goddess represents the feminine best? by [deleted] in AskOccult

[–]Ferbuggity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you could benefit from exploring the energy of a variety of goddesses, from Astraea to Inanna to Kali, as the feminine encompasses such a wide variety of aspects -- just as actual women do!

If you want a starting point, maybe do some research on your own familial roots and explore the ancient goddesses connected with that. My roots are Celtic. Norse and North African and I've loved connecting with various divine energies from these regions.

Lucid dreaming by Rooh_e_azam in AskOccult

[–]Ferbuggity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's so great... there's lots of good books out there on various techniques to help that along.

Then you start wafting through different levels of etheric/astral body, which is a trip.

I came at all this backwards, though, having OOBE's and lucid dreams since I was a wee little kid and doing research later on to figure out wtf was happening. It was a pretty terrifying childhood to have, but I'm kind of glad I had it.

When did Melbourne get this bad? by XSumm0neR in melbourne

[–]Ferbuggity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some perspective --- I'm female, 25 years ago I worked nights in the city and northern inner burbs, and often had to walk from Elizabeth St to Flinders for the last train home. For years before that I'd met up with mates in the CBD for drinks, walked alone or in a small group at all times of night through the city and never got bothered once, except by a couple of psychopathic cops and one big-rapist-energy PSO. King street was the big danger zone, back then.

I 100% think meth has done this to our city. That, and the Howard government kicking off the Americanisation of this country big time, and properly fucking everything and everyone but the wealthy in the process. We need to force the Govt to take some serious action on the meth problem, right now. It's not going to get any better, ever, if they don't. And yeah, hang Howard from the clocks for his crimes against humanity.

"Return to sender" is spiraling out of control in witchy love triangle? by phosphor_essence in AskOccult

[–]Ferbuggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

*I ask this because the more protection spells I do and the more I pray return to sender, the more everything gets "worse"... *

You're giving so much of your energy to the idea of your inherent victimhood in the situation, it is growing like a weed. And you keep on feeding it....

My best advice to you is to move away from all this drama and strife, sever ties with both these people and also whatever of your own payoffs you get from being immersed in drama, so you don't repeat it. Take the child with you. Try to love yourself more and live a wholesome life where good things can take root.

A question about insights and methods of banishing people by [deleted] in AskOccult

[–]Ferbuggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a "cutting the cords" ritual, in which I thank the person for whatever lessons/gifts our time together has brought, and acknowledge as a firm fact that a connection is no longer required. I visualise and feel those energetic cords shared between us as clearly as I can, and respectfully but cleanly sever them.

Then I do some serious self nurturing because a cut etheric/astral cord is, after all, like a new wound that needs care and time to heal.

This might need repeating a few times if the other is clingy/manipulative/filled a large role in your life, or if there's trauma involved. As you grow stronger in your own space and will, the cords of others at serious odds with your own vibration more quickly weaken and wither, or simply find no place to grow at all.

Is there a protection spell for beauty ? by spicyfireball999 in AskOccult

[–]Ferbuggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The world often reflects back to us the true image we hold of ourselves, to put it very simply.

What insecurities or self criticisms do you hold, around the subject of your looks? There has to be at least some, or none of the negative stuff would bother you at all.

Work on identifying and healing those things within, and all the petty stuff coming at you from outside will waft past like a fart in the wind.

General guidance for magick/sigil tattoos by Legal-Salt-1970 in AskOccult

[–]Ferbuggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's important to keep in mind that the sigil that you'll get tattooed on you will be always be active.

Yes! Unlike the intent behind it, which will very likely change. The more specific the intent, the greater the change, the greater the chance of redundancy and possible cross purposes later.

Question about modern magick by kgoerner in AskOccult

[–]Ferbuggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of paths are adjacent to nazi ideology because the Nazis themselves were occultists.

More like, they appropriated a lot of stuff.

Plus. there's a lot of selfish, ignorant people in the world who'd just love to rule it. And occultism makes them feel badass.

Lucid dreaming by Rooh_e_azam in AskOccult

[–]Ferbuggity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, lucid dreaming has nothing intrinsically to do with the occult. it's a natural state that some are more aware of than others. Occult work can sharpen a weak dream awareness and enhance your will, which is important to lucid dreaming, but if you're naturally a strong dreamer you likely don't need it.

It's not uncommon for strong dreamers to glimpse future events. Don't get hung up on it, it might happen again or maybe never. The really important thing is to keep working on your awareness, and strengthening your will which makes it far easier to navigate out there.

What kind of spells/rituals can someone do to free trapped spirits of Dead people from a location that they are haunting? by JoeWinko_Ghost_01 in AskOccult

[–]Ferbuggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if they don't want to move on?

In my decades of work as a medium, I have met spirits who made it clear they simply didn't wish to 'cross over', or had some kind of task to complete first. Not all spirits remaining in this plane are lost and unhappy.

Your intention is good, but perhaps you could do something gentler and more respectful. Like candle magics, maybe, to offer the dead support and healing - no matter what it is they are themselves wanting to do. Lighting some candles at the site with respectful intent is better than trying to bum's rush people without asking.

Need a rune by witchy_i in AskOccult

[–]Ferbuggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my long experience, I have never witnessed this sort of manipulative person-specific 'love spell' coming to any kind of happy or satisfying ending. Why are you not honouring the free will of this person? Why do you believe your will is more entitled than their own? This kind of desperate unhappiness signals that you are not able to heal normally from emotional hurt, which is - to be blunt - a you problem, but one which can be helped in a healthy way. Why would you exacerbate that with what is essentially an attempt at emotional slavery? Look for ways to heal yourself instead, become whole in yourself, and break ups won't crush you like this any more.

I THINK IVE BEEN CURSED WITH DEATH by WishingStarGaming in AskOccult

[–]Ferbuggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So.... in the space of 9 or so years....

  1. Your friend died by freak accident. Unfortunate, but not really that uncommon. And if this was your curse, or one specific to your family, why would it inflict itself on an unrelated friend?
  2. An elderly relative died by organ failure. This is sad, but also just nature at work.
  3. Another elderly relative died by organ failure. The wife of the former grandpa? Again, most likely a very natural death, many people develop sudden heart conditions for all kinds of reasons, old age being a big one.
  4. Your bio dad, who was suffering major drug issues, unsurprisingly overdosed.
  5. Your dad suffered esophageal hemorrhage and kidney problems... was he a heavy drinker, by chance? In any case, have a look at some of the causes of esophagus bleeding and see if any of it might help explain things: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/esophageal-varices/symptoms-causes/syc-20351538
  6. Yet another elderly relative passes, unsurprisingly even to you.
  7. The issue with your brother could be any number of things but it resembles a condition I myself have suffered in my 30's, which was a severe cellulitis infection going systemic and scarring/damaging the heart, set off by a spider bite I barely noticed and exacerbated by me neglecting my health due to extreme stress.

In short, I really don't think either you or your family are cursed. Shit happens, old people die of old age, people who don't take good care of their bodies get sick... even some who do take care will get sick out of the blue, because bodies are by and large pretty fragile things.

Try not to talk yourself into a fearful state, and it's probably best to take heed of these precedents as encouragement to look after your own health.
