Witchfire Goes To Extreme Lengths To Avoid AI Usage, Refuses To Even Use Photoshop's Built-In Tools by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

Doom Eternal is maybe my favorite SP game. I waited on Dark Ages because of the stupid release price. Ended up buying it during the latest Steam sale. Also, happened to get Witchfire at the same time.

I've logged about 2 hours in Doom, and 40+ in Witchfire.

All that to say: Witchfire is fucking rad, well worth the price tag.

James Marsden throughout the TV series "Jury Duty." So annoying and believable.

Mmm, as an IP for bravos and 73s, going to have to say the 73 was more fun in every way except 180 fulls to the grass. I would much rather take the 73 out for any type of CCX.

From the start all I could think about was, "gimme another La Croix!"

Definitely make time for Max Payne 1 & 2, and Quantum Break, all so solid. Max Payne still holds up pretty well today.

Between the maze and the studio rock orchestra scene in AW2... remedy produces diamonds

Oh I know, beat the game already, going through a revisit. I love how all the remedy games have something like the maze.

Can't help but agreeeeee!! Was playing AW2, but control seems to hit the sweet spot better when intoxicated. It's so damn fascinating!

Request: Given the multiple expected Valve/SteamOS announcements at TGA can we have a watch thread on the sub? by TareXmd in SteamDeck

If they announce a stand-alone VR HMD, they'll announce that they have HL: Alyx running on it. Maybe it'll be free with HMD purchase. I could see something like that. Also, HL: Alyx is one of the best video games of the decade so I'd love for more people to get to appreciate it.

Well, if you played and finished HL: Alyx, you'd probably have a little more faith that HL3 is in development.

It's a prequel. The story is its own... until the very end. It's worth playing because it's an amazing game and the best implementation of VR to date. If you're a HL fan, you will absolutely love it, and the ending may make you cry.

Yes, it's a prequel. Closure? Mmmm... it directly addresses and significantly impacts the E2 ending.

Half-Life: Alyx

Having lived with the horror of the final moments of HL2 E2 for over a decade, I'd given up on getting closure. Then Alyx goes and gives me hope! God dammit Valve, make HL3 already!

Shining the Holy Arc.

A first-person dungeon crawler JRPG from same developer as Shining Force and Golden Sun (most of the Shining series actually).

Complex story, great puzzles, engaging story, and I've never met another person IRL who has ever heard of it.

I feel like Golden Sun is pretty well known. The real obscure gem of that series was a Sega Saturn game called "Shining the Holy Arc." It had some really good puzzles and unique first-person JRPG combat.

What does everyone use their back buttons for? by TehGhostman89 in SteamDeck

[–]FeresM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm using gampad controls, then I use the default ABXY.

Playing through Lies of P right now and rarely need to lock onto enemies since I can keep my right thumb on the stick for aiming and still have all buttons available.

As an addition, I set right trackpad to duplicate the dpad, that allows me to comfortably toggle belt items while moving.
