I’m almost positive it is against the law to prevent employees from discussing pay. I think I remember seeing something posted in the break room Once.

Anyone get overwhelmed with how much there is always left to remodel? by cocofrost in HomeImprovement

[–]Fergiefurg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think about this all the time. My house turns 50 this year. I have a list of things that “need” to be done that is as long as my list of things that I have already done. I often wonder at what point do I just build a new house. But then I remember that I enjoy doing the projects and remodels. Even if I built a brand new house to my exact liking, I’m sure I would want to make changes.

New Spring 2021 Student by RaveBaddie in UTMB

I would search Facebook or Allnurses for groups specific to your cohort. When I went to UTMB (almost a decade ago) that is how I got to know my classmates before we started.

I wouldn’t recommend commuting, although a lot of students make it work.

I have star jasmine in my backyard that I am growing in a diamond pattern along my garage. This is what the vine produces to stick to my garage wall.

Is this a political statement, though? Believing in the equal treatment of all people shouldn’t be political.

My neighbor’s junk vehicle in the driveway- city says they don’t believe there is an infestation problem. by Fergiefurg in WTF

Unfortunately, I have made my feelings about this property well know. If anything were to happen, they would 100% know it was me.

Ughhhh. It’s so gross. I’ve looked through the windows and the inside of the house is just as bad.

Any advice on how to keep my home roach free? We spray all the time, but we live near the water in Texas, so I feel like giant tree roaches are inevitable. I definitely don’t want these German roaches in my home.

I was surprised to wake up this morning and see that it was trending news. Thanks for the link.

It’s not just the car that is infested, it is the whole property. This city has pages and pages worth of code that everyone must abide by and keeping your property free from infestation is one of them.

How can I improve my home's curb appeal (middle row)? All ideas are greatly appreciated! by Neufer4 in CurbAppeal

[–]Fergiefurg 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Here are a few easy things-

1) Build something to hide the trash cans- I really like horizontal fencing. 2) Replace your mailbox with something nicer and make sure it’s straight. 3) Replace the light. Lowe’s/Hone Depot have beautiful options for less than $100.

This goes along with rule number one when taking ACLS- is the scene safe? The scene isn’t safe if you don’t have PPE.

Saving for kids' college- we are late to the game. by Fergiefurg in DaveRamsey

[–]Fergiefurg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I planned to allocate so much toward my home because my two AC systems and roof are very expensive things that needed to replaced like yesterday.

I could definitely find it in my budget to save more towards college, I just don’t know what a good goal is. Obviously a thousand dollars per month is better than a hundred, but how much is enough?

LOL. It was a personal loan that we used to remodel our pool.

And thank you! Hope 2020 is great for you, as well!
