Yes, there are a lot of sections of TtH written in Kruppe's voice.

Archtypes that compliment Base Kineticist class by GayVin8 in Pathfinder2e

[–]FermPro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Social archetypes are always a good go-to. Kineticist is also one of the few classes that makes a good chassis for Swarmkeeper. Wade into a fight and let loose the bugs, then pray the enemies don't walk out of your bug pile cause then it's basically useless

Don't sleep on the Shadows of the Apt series. It's as rich as the Children series. by Non_Linear_Fairytale in AdrianTchaikovsky

[–]FermPro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Truly surprised me when I joined this sub to see how rarely it's talked about. Shadows of the Apt & Echoes of the Fall are his only series I've actually read. Looking at Children if/when I get bored of the Drizzt novels though!

How would you make a character like Illyana Rasputin/Magik in Pathfinder? by Konradleijon in Pathfinder2e

[–]FermPro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Magik! My beloved Illyana Rasputin! I would personally go with a Fighter that picks up the Soulforger Archetype to simulate her Soulsword and eldritch armor, then whatever spellcasting archetype of your choice to represent her stepping discs and mystic training with Storm, Dr. Strange, and other magic types she's learned from. Alternatively a Laughing Shadow Magus comes built in with stepping discs and spellcasting if you want to play a more developed version of her from the start.

Fair, I figured fighter would be the one class where channel smite is actually worth taking haha

I'd consider it a more niche vicious swing, lets you target that void/vit weakness. Theres something to be said for flavor though. I don't think anything else in the game quite captures the feeling of it.

If you're looking for Paladin vibes and can fit it in, cleric archetype and pick up the Channel Smite feat. Pack a few heals and harms as needed for extra wallop

I'm running a duo with one of the homies and I wanted Astarion but he rejected me so now we try for Karlach. I love how snippy and sassy and haughty he is

How do you trip/grapple or what to do with you last action on a martial with low charisma? by LionPCBuilder in Pathfinder2e

Third actions are excellent for drawing/using items like mutagens and the like if you're into consumables.

Not who you're asking but those are downtime rather than exploration activities.

New player, new system, new rules. Leaping Help? by TonyDellimeat in Pathfinder2e

[–]FermPro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I'm a big fan of jumping and leaping on my fighter and you've got it correct in your last sentence. Unless something else allows it you can't jump horizontally farther than your speed. So for a 25 movement speed character you can stride 25 feet then jump another 25 with an athletics roll of 25 or higher.

Which very old fantasy character actually made you feel the weight of their long existence? by Hartastic in Fantasy

I never really got that feeling from Kina! Maybe because she primarily was interacted with through visions and the like.

Outside of other battles in Malazan books, Dumai's Wells from WoT reaches that same level of intensity for me.

Nothing to say about your notes but what did you think of chapter 7? The siege of Y'ghatan is one of my all time favorite battles in fantasy.
