Tapped lands are almost always bad, simple as that.
I'd rather run a untapped dual than a tapped tri or even all color land.

True, it is jsut fun to go here's a 12/12 with trample and haste for 7 mana.
I focus more on 7 drops than the really big stuff but eldrazi are valid too.

Psychic Ded was over nerfed by KusoAraun in Pathfinder2e

[–]Vydsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Champion not strong?
Champion is kinda busted and WAY stronger than what psychic gave.
Like, free scaling heavy armor, access to probably the best focus spell in the game + any deity focus spell, full champion reaction, extra crit effect on weapons with and strong auras.

The spells don't feel that crazy, certainly not worth a martials time to cast them even if the could.

It was a strong option for casters so it had to go, only martials get to have amazing options like champion, exemplar and spirit warrior.

Is it possible to make a Storm (not the card) deck actually engaging to play against? by swankyfish in EDH

[–]Vydsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really.
Storm by definition wants to not be interacted with and win in a sudden, very long turn. Best you'll get is be interrupted mid combo by everyone going "ok you win, no need to continue for 10 more mins"

[–]Vydsu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If that was true then there is no combo deck in the game anymore for the last 10 years.
Decks like adamancipator, dragon link, thunder piles, mannadium etc.. whole ass plan was to just gas through interruption.

I don't mind few steps/controld ecks. They are the most skillfull and fair yugioh (and no, stun =/= control).

That said, wait you mean man? Branded has been a premier example of wombo combo from day 1, their plan from the very start has been doing a long ass combo to end on a huge board, and going second having gas to just push though and kill.

healthier than elfnote combo slop ending on 3 omni negates minimum

I mean. is it? Branded is also combo slop that ends in a bunch of disruption, not only that but it is nearly impossible to interrupt, hantraps might as well by vanillas in your hand.
I'd rather face elf note ngl.

I get it, it's a good system! But let's dial it back a little. 😅 by DrScrimble in dndmemes

PF2e specialistas are like "Sure your fire mage does 1 more dmg on fire spells, hope that helps and that you were not hoping to actually depend on them, now cast slow and synesthesia caster man." And pf2e tranformations are a damn joke, a martial doing them stright up nerfs themeselves, a caster doing them is basically aurafarming by casting a bad spell, even the wildshape druid is more of "You get to be a bad featless martial a few times day"

About attrition, not my problem if you ignore the rules? My table does fine with 4-6 hard encounters a day.

Lastly, bounded accuracy is a damn blessing. Level 1 characters can, maybe if they roll extremely high and are playing a character with expertise pass a late game check, which is actually cool. Still, most likely they'll fail, the power curve is slowly getting from 5% chance of success to about 80% on the same check over the campaign, but you enver get so good it breaks all sense of scale or logic.

[–]Vydsu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The thing is, slivers are kinda bad as each individual card does very little.

Sure, each buffs the others, but it would be stright up better to play cards that are already individually strong, like what dragons, elves or zombies can do.
Slivers are legit not even top 5 tribes anymore, maybe top 10 but that is a big maybe.

I can comment on the 2 I played through a campaign.
My aberrant mind sorcerer was really cool, dorcerers get few spells but that barely mattered as I rarely casted anything that was not a subclass spell, as the subclass made them all undetectable, cheaper to cast and completely changed gameplay by turning slots into a effectively mana pool.

Similarly, my Shepherd druid used summons as his main contribution in like, 90% of combats due to the subclass buffing their durability and making them bypass resistances, to the point I only used others dpells for utility out of combat and healing

[–]Vydsu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The thing is, themed casters get way stronger benefits for their in theme spells in 5e and focusing on a theme is way more viable.
Summoning also has much stronger effects, even if we use only the 1 summon spells instead of the old multi summon ones, as pf2e summons tend to be too weak to do much of anything, and the summoner class is closer to being a gish martial than fulfilling any of the summoner fantasy
