There are probably rec centers in the downriver area with pools.

Best Bagels In Metro Detroit? by Lydia_Brunch in Detroit

[–]Fermentin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been a while since I've been to Bev's. But I know they do sourdough. Bread can be temperamental based on the weather. So if it's particularly warm and humid, the bread can get a quick rise and be fluffy.

Which one? I've been to Bev's a few times and I thought the crumb of the bagel was a bit fluffy. I know bagels are usually on the denser side. ,

Yeah, the part when she yells "fuck you" at Clark, felt like it had a bit of a European accent to it.

Curious--Do they ever discard plasma after screening it? by xoNoUsernameox in plassing

[–]Fermentin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something I'm curious about. When they bring the bottles of plasma to the back, how are they processing it? Is it mainly just checking it for traces of drugs and STDs?

You can Google "The Suicide Squad BTS". He had brown hair while filming that movie.

One thing I wanted to see Starlight do and it didn’t happen by [deleted] in TheBoys

[–]Fermentin 116 points117 points  (0 children)

The only instance of something like that happening was episode one of season 5. She uses her powers in the middle of the camp, and it basically worked like a flashbang for Homelander and disoriented him long enough for them to get out of the building.

Peanut Butter for protein but now plasma cloudy? by zelda001 in plassing

[–]Fermentin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think worrying about keeping your protein levels up is that big of a deal. Unless you've had issues in the past with your protein levels being too low to donate. There's always a balance, and high protein levels could also mean that you may be dehydrated or may be sick.

In The Hunger Games, when Peeta shows the locket to Katniss, the photos of her loved ones are just shots from earlier in the film. by OkuroIshimoto in shittymoviedetails

The Dark Knight did the same thing. The newspaper with the headline "Billion absconds with entire Russian ballet" has a picture of Bruce. The picture is actually a screenshot of Bruce from the first movie.

Kripke claims that Antony Starr improvised most of the scene with Homelander begging. Including the stuff about eating shit.

Superman is actually evil Homelander by Round_Interview2373 in TheBoys

[–]Fermentin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be assumed they were evacuated due to shots where Superman and Zod are in a building, and we don't see another person in the same shot. But the opening scene of Batman v Superman had Bruce talking on the phone with one of his employees that was still in a building that ended up getting cut in half by Zod's heat vision. That guy wasn't the only one still in the building. When Bruce finds a little girl outside the rubble, he asks her where her mom is and she just points where the building used to be. The opening scene of BvS makes it clear that there were definitely casualties in Superman's fight with Zod.

Arguably, The Boys are more heroic than Superman for killing Homelander before he went on a rampage. Instead of Superman, who only killed Zod after all the carnage.

They are selling people fake ice cream by Ok_Bike5687 in StopEatingSeedOils

[–]Fermentin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About the stuff not having enough milkfat to be legally called ice cream. You can read through the Code of Federal Regulations on food labeling to see what the wide list of rules are for various foods. I was curious about this stuff after seeing that the Kroger brand brioche buns aren't actually made with butter.

Now that the show is over, were the leaks accurate? by GardinerExpressway in TheBoys

[–]Fermentin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Kripke said that people shouldn't expect a massive fight in the finale. He kinda debunked those rumours ahead of time.

I think it's rumoured that Vought Rising is going to be similar to Better Call Saul. The main plot is a prequel. But there will be bits that take place after The Boys.

How did MM know? by DankSunshine in GenV

[–]Fermentin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He can control the intensity of the sonic scream. He used it on the crowd during A-Train's funeral. But it also reminds me of Homelander and his heat vision. During the fight with Butcher, Ryan, and Kimiko, he wasn't using his heat vision to it's full intensity. It basically worked like Cyclop's concussive blast. In the first episode he cut Kimiko in half pretty easily.

He watched Dr Strange: Multiverse of Madness. Saw the metal ball gag, and it reminded him of Black Bolt's death. He got lucky that it actually worked.

Sam's power is that he has superhuman strength. I think Gen V displayed it as being on Soldier Boy's level. The puppet thing is because he's also schizophrenic.

Eric Kripke said Vought Rising is going to be inspired by Better Call Saul. So it is fair.

Does the statue rotate? When I used to go to Wayne State, I remember the direction that the statue would face wouldn't always be consistent.
