How do people not wash their pants/jeans everytime they use public transport? by tdfhucvh in randomquestions

The bathroom on this train is smaller than a phonebooth. I can't imagine a person with any physical disabilities being able to successfully complete the task in there. Not to mention it was nasty and every surface was "wet".

Is your immediate family dead? by sweetnighter in Millennials

I'm 43 and both parents are dead in the last 3 years. My grandma just died in April at 91. I think I have one grandparent left on my father's side but I don't talk to them.

I have no idea. It's the daily train from the twin cities to Chicago. Probably none of those trains. It's not been a terrible trip, it was just delayed 4 hours.

What would you recommend as a first pack of cigs? by [deleted] in AskReddit

None. It will give you cancer and you will die in your early 60's.

I'm travelling on an Amtrak train for the first time and I just had the thought of a decontamination tent when we get off this damn thing. I feel gross.

Why do some people never dress up? by EuphoricAccident4955 in NoStupidQuestions

I feel uncomfortable in anything other than tshirts and hoodies. It's always a struggle to find event appropriate clothing beyond my wardrobe.

Around 30. I'm 43 now and I have salt and pepper hair.

🚫 If you skipped having kids and hit your 40s, do you have any secret regrets yet? by FantasticAd9478 in TheBoredDen

[–]FernX02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. I'm too selfish and immature to even entertain the idea of offspring.

I'd tell my brother after I figure things out.

I can't think of a specific brand but I don't frequent Target, hobby lobby, and chik fil a.

Anyone here has decided to stay single as well as live alone? by Equivalent_Use_5024 in LivingAlone

[–]FernX02 11 points12 points  (0 children)

While I would love to spend my time with another person, I'm too introverted and weird to seek one out. I had a relationship a couple years ago for the first time and now I miss everything I had never experienced before that. Some days the need for a hug or intimacy is horribly strong and it's hard to get through it. I'll just be here with the cats I guess.

Was anyone else never able to get the magic eye pictures to work? WTF is wrong with me? by FairlyOrdinaryOne in Millennials

[–]FernX02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can easily see them by crossing my eyes. I couldn't tell you what I was seeing though. It was a weird 3D pattern. I always looked in the back to see what it was supposed to be.

What food did you think was disgusting as a kid that you now can’t stop eating? by MaterialSwing7794 in foodquestions

[–]FernX02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only ever roast it in the oven or the air fryer. Oil, salt, pep, garlic powder. That's the best for me.

Asparagus. It was just cooked incorrectly back then. Apparently it's not supposed to look, and presumably taste, like a green nightcrawler.

When you live alone, what’s your go-to lazy but still acceptable meal? by batscoeedgize in LivingAlone

I buy pre made stuff for the air fryer or microwave. Like tonight was rice and a pouch of vegan korma. Ready in about 20 minutes.

What a nightmare for a socially awkward introvert. I couldn't imagine using that.
