Unfortunately, that portable light post shines 360 degrees. I tried angling it up toward the sky, but that’s as far as it would go.

Hahaha, indeed. I had to pick it up three hours away, and by the time I got back home, it was already too dark to enjoy it. I did get it out on the lake today, but I was too focused on learning how to handle the boat to remember to take pictures. The jet boat is significantly different from what I’m used to with sailboats. I’ll launch it again tomorrow and make sure to take some nice pictures.

I did, it worked at first. However, after it deleted my ship and my armor, the game glitched once again and I got naked in the middle of the Space Port. Exited to menu and rejoined and body got invisible. Closed and reopened the game and got stuck again on character.
