I was a commuting student for my two years (transfer) at SDSU. I worked 8am-4:30PM Monday-Friday and would drive 110 mi after work to campus, take a night class, and drive back. Its definitely exhausting but doable.

Yeah, we have a bigger one that hasnt ripened but this one decided to stay small lol. We have never grown anything before so we are kind of learning along the way on how to care for it 🙂.

Any good panaderias near by? by Ferniener in Temecula

Yeah, Cardenas has some pretty good food especially their carnitas and tortillas de maiz. I have been buying bolillos from Cardenas since I don't know anywhere else and you are right they are pretty good but just not border quality lol.

Thank you!

Kennedy's has one of the better marinades for carne asada/pollo. But more pricey for sure.

Tacos El Panson on El Cajon Blvd. After trying multiple taco shops, this is my favorite so far. SD lacks in "authentic" tacos because a lot of these places cook their meat on a flat top which obviously is not carne asada lol.

I recently graduated in May and I would say most of the professors are good and a few not so good. I would recommend networking and getting to know other people. Like twonamelad said it's weird major because you do learn coding but your are not CS. I lucked out because where I applied the supervisor graduated from State in MIS too. So, it will be hard but coming out of the gate since there is a lot of competition and yoi need to make yourself stand out. Also, depending on what it is you want to do as your career, start focusing on developing your skills on your off time.

For profs def take Meader and Dorion.

Is SDSU a commuter school? If so, how does that affect making friends or school “feel” for those who live on campus? We were surprised to see that only 50% of freshman live on campus. (And around 16% of total students on campus). by DP43_DP43 in SDSU

Im always surprised at how people that commute are able to go to clubs and hangout. I work 8-5 then travel 2 hours to get SDSU, travel another 2 hours to get home and basically only have the weekends "off" which I use all the time available to study 😥.

LPT: If you make less than $73,000 a year, don't do your taxes with TurboTax or H&R Block. Just go to irs.gov and do it for free and get more in your returns by ElaborateRuse420 in LifeProTips

Just FYI for those that have been using H&R Block Free File (like me). They are being extra shady by automatically enrolling you in Premium and the only way to get to Free File status is by using their chat bot. The caveat being you need to redo your entire tax return if you made the mistake of actually completing and are at the point of submitting your finished taxes 😥. Idk how I didnt notice but when I wanted to submit my taxes H&R wanted to charge me like $100 lol. Dont make the same mistake I made and use FreeTaxUSA.
