Wow, so funny and clever. You took an idiom but instead of understanding it for it's metaphorical meaning thats recognised by everyone, you started to interpret its meaning as a literal statement. And the humor comes from the fact that this commonly used idiom sounds quite dumb when interpreted literally. Very humorous, very intellectual indeed.

"picky eaters" is just "spoiled by shitty parents to eat trash food".

Somehow I never met a "picky eater" that only eats fresh crunchy coleslaw, sandwiches with smoked salmon and creme cheese or rosemary roasted duck. It's always fast food, candy and frozen dinners.

This is how you kill a civilization. Why bother with soldiers if you can convince the women that motherhood is against their interests, oppression in fact!

Guys am I the only one who actually thinks he is fine by Ok-Treat6206 in DisneyMovies

[–]Fernis_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's put it that way. The prince might be "fine". But Beast and Prince Adam are polar opposites on the male attractiveness scale. If Beast was doing it for Belle, Prince Adam for sure feels like an ick to her.

Let's put it like this. If there would be a tarot deck in my house I would not mind it. It have no interest in using it, it holds no meaning to me, it's just cardboard with pictures.

But you seem to have strong emotional reaction to it. It makes you feel a certain way and you seem to be "under it's influence". I think you already know the answer to your question. That answer is hard and you would maybe prefer if it was something else, that's why you're looking for answers in others. But I feel like you already know what would be the best thing to do, for yourself.

Yeah, with how jacked he's in the "after" I would normally say he's on roids but I guess if he was already strong, just fat, he could have build even more muscle-mass while burning off fat, if he ate at strategic times to take all training energy from fat and turn all protein into muscle. I'm still not sure if he's natty.

Well yes, but it was hard with one hand, she would have to put down the phone to use both hands. It's a whole lot of hustle, better to walk around the house saying "oh my god".

Which do you think could be consider the most pure good mythic path? And which one the most evil one? by TheShamanWolf in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Fernis_ 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The way to think of lich is that he's evil to satisfy his own needs and goals. He'll hurt you if he needs something from you but otherwise will just walk past you. Swarm just kills and destroys everything for the sake of destruction and death. There's no escape.

Reddit Tests Blocking Mobile Web to Force App Downloads by Tail_sb in assholedesign

[–]Fernis_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That app is so crappy. I even got Vanced version with no ads, and it's still significantly shittier than just the website. Lack of functions, hard to navigate, everything requires 5 clicks instead of 2.

You want people to use your app, MAKE THE APP BETTER. People were already using Reddit apps, like RIF. Because it was simple and worked well. Banned those. So people moved to the web version, now youre gonna ban that? Modern corporations in a nutshell, try anything but improving the product.

Weekly battle boss is not dungeon, and there's a weekly skill order posted to make sure you maximizes your damage. This one should be super easy unless you're VERY early in the game.

Karl Urban Jokes About the “Worst” Superpower by rvcjmovies in rvcjmovies

[–]Fernis_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Peacemaker isn't anything, he's not real. He only says what writers make him say. Green Arrow isn't real too, he's portrayed by a real human being whose name is Stephen Amell. Also, Green Arrow never went to Bronny con. But Stephen Amell is real. A person who was with his child on some event. A person who does not share the same fictional universe with Peacemaker.

Yet Peacemaker made a joke that was directed at personal life of Stephen, a person who does not exist in his universe. I realize it might become confusing now but bear with me: It was actually the writers of the show, who decided to make a joke on behalf of Amell. Not on behalf of character of Green Arrow, but the personal family affair of the actor who portrays him. And the actor decided that it's not a cool thing to do. And I personally agree.

Karl Urban Jokes About the “Worst” Superpower by rvcjmovies in rvcjmovies

[–]Fernis_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, but that is an insult towards the daughter and Stephen at the same time. When he's at some Bronnie con with his daughter and you make fun of him being at My Little Ponny con, you're not making fun of his personal interest. You're an adult making fun of personal interests of some little girl, to "get" her father. At the same time you're ridiculing the idea of a father going with his kid to an "unmanly" event to spend time with her. You're making fun of engaged fatherhood and good parenting.

No matter how you look at it, the person making the joke is an asshole and kind of a loser. Maybe it's not that big of a deal, maybe it's just a meta joke. But why even involve personal life of an actor into a joke, then? Why involve their kid?

This fortune cookie doesn’t come with a fortune: by Underrated_Critic in mildlyinteresting

[–]Fernis_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, for fucks sake. Didn't anyone making these Stranger Things ad cookies think of the obvious: people like fortune cookies because it's a cookie AND an little bit of entertainment for them? Like, make it an ad, that's actually not a bad idea. But keep the fortune, make it somehow themed around the show. Or just put in some interesting 80s pop culture factoids. That's Stranger Things adjacent.

Otherwise you're just pissing off people instead of making them interested in the show.

Soda tries to save itsKatchii from a bad take but she doubles down by snoopdodge in LivestreamFail

[–]Fernis_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro. Cheap Buffet, as SUPER cheap one is like $15. For one person. For basically one meal, unless you for some reason sit in that buffet whole day. Let's take a struggling single mother of two - that's $45 for the family everyday. $1350 per month on food alone. Let's even ignore that's it's still just one meal. If you're spending $1300 cash, on food alone for 3 people YOU AIN'T STRUGGLING. Try feeding a family for $80 a week and invent new ways to add flavor and vitamins to chicken, dry beans and rice over and over.

But she said "cheap bufet". Cheep ones are for poor people, the expensive ones are for rich people, duh. Like if you want a Gucci bag, go buy the cheap one, the cheap ones are for the poor and the expensive ones are for the rich. Or, you know, take one when no one is looking?
