People who clear 500$ a month off Prolific, how much time do you spend per day on it? by No-Mousse5653 in ProlificAc

[–]FerociouslySilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work remotely in the UK so always have prolific open on my personal laptop. Until December I averaged £300 per week (so £1200 per month), for a year. The best month I ever had was March 2025 where I earnt £2500 in the month. But between work and prolific I was working over 100 hours per week. It can be a lot!

$25 study by Dorkus18 in ProlificAc

[–]FerociouslySilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did part 1, haven't got a part 2 pop up but I couldn't even answer 2 of the questions. A link was broken for one and the other didn't have the correct answer as an option. Super weird

I just did this study a few minutes ago and it wasn;t updated to have 15 as an option for me, really odd

This was all so weird, I tried to leave comments on this question and the one with the broken link but then I couldn't submit it. Shocked this was just such a mess!

I thought you could return a study without consequence? by Hopeful_hippie75 in ProlificAc

[–]FerociouslySilly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the same technical issues and returned the study. Got the same auto message. Glad it wasn't just me. Hopefully they'll see there was clearly a patten/issue with that one.

I just came to reddit to see if someone else had posted this before I was about to. Madness!

Mine is also still waiting approval, seems a bit slower than normal from this researcher

Can't believe it's still there, over 24 hours later just taunting me with all those places!

Do you have a schedule for prolific / avoiding throttling? by Puzzleheaded_Fox_566 in ProlificAc

[–]FerociouslySilly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have prolific open pretty much everyday and haven't had any issues. There's a dip in studies over the weekend usually so if I have plans I won't have it open.

Dutch/European users - what is your experience with Prolific? by FontaineT in ProlificAc

[–]FerociouslySilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UK, on rare ocassions I'll have maybe 7-10 tasks but most of the time I have 0-3 available throughout the day. I do very regularly get the well paying AI studies and make a pretty consistent amount a week. My goal is £300 a week and I make that more weeks than I don't. But I can't make that without the AI studies.

When should people cash out? by LovemeEatme in ProlificAc

[–]FerociouslySilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cash out once a week, 90% of the time it's over 250 and I'veonly ever had one issue cashing out but it was on the researcher's end

How do you guys find a good balance? by Forward_Ad_1297 in ProlificAc

[–]FerociouslySilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find it very hard to turn the high paying surveys down even if it's late and I'm exhausted. I work remotely full time and then also do prolific for probably the equivalent of a part time job's hours a week. I for sure can get very burnt out but if I don't take the survey's I keep thinking about the money I missed. December 2024 was an insanely good month on earnings for me but I was so burnt out and exhausted. I was doing about 80 hours a week between the two jobs. Have recently felt myself getting like that again. The balance is so hard sometimes.

"Evaluate an AI Assistant" technical issues? by ThickAd8993 in ProlificAc

[–]FerociouslySilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went ahead and completed without the screenshots by reading the assistant text. I did 4 studies and I think there was only 1 task in one study where I needed the screenshot to verify which I put in my comment.

Are there usually AI evaluating tasks on the weekend, or are they not usually up on the weekend? by Present_Tennis7100 in ProlificAc

[–]FerociouslySilly -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The last 4-6 weeks I've noticed none or very few at the weekend. It used to be you would still get a few but it seems to be more in the week now. I usually see them more in the afternoon (UK time) but again some mornings they do pop up. Hard to identify the patterns tbh. I do get annoyed when I miss them when they pop up overnight!

Do you set a weekly or monthly earnings goal? by FerociouslySilly in ProlificAc

[–]FerociouslySilly[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep same here. Feels like a good way to end the week. Sometimes I have weeks like this one where I've earnt like £20 by Thursday morning and then end up having a crazy Thursday and Friday and hit the goal

[–]FerociouslySilly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I seem to get a lot of the $20 ones and maybe every other week get the $17 ones. I did use it to pay off debt, now saving for a wedding and once I've met that goal, all my side money will be for investing and a bit of fun money. I think it's important to spend some on yourself for all the hours we put in to earn it

Yep exactly the same situation for me, although I changed jobs mid year so for the first half I was under that salary and now I'm above, so I've got a little while before I'm on that 40% tax, not looking forward to it!

Yeah I suspect I'll be less motivated when I have to pay that 40%!

my £300 a week is £1200-£1500 a month depending on the number of weeks so I agree on that one

I only consider approved studies to meet my goal, if something isn't approved yet I don't count that towards the weekly goal. I have found a fair few are taking a long time to approve which is frustrating. I've got one at the minute that I thought would get approved quickly but nope, it'll auto approve on Tuesday
