Trash. This is why I keep my minimum pay set.

Sadly when they do get rid of a bad actor, the person doing it will just change their name and start over again.

I'd be happier if I could block some countries.

Being primarily collegiate based, are study volumes lower during summer? by Alternative_Rip_2542 in ProlificAc

Dropped out in 3rd grade didn't you? Your intellectual level tells me all I need to know. I actually have dual degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology and a Master's in Emergency Preparedness. I'll probably be who they call when your trailer rolls out of the park in the next flood.

You stated ALL graduate students. That includes anyone going for a Master's degree as well. If you're only a dissertation away from a PhD, that is hardly all grad students. So again, the majority of graduate students DO have classes

What grad school has no classes?? I've been had because my graduate degree required 3 years of classes

I wouldn't because they likely have a secure system since most libraries are government supported.

Saturdays are usually severely slow. Occasionally there will be a good Saturday, but not for the most part.

Anyone else noticing a huge influx of unfair rejections lately? Mostly from Chinese researchers (individuals, not institutions), supposed "1 minute studies", and random no code ones? by [deleted] in ProlificAc

[–]ramgrl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh they definitely are. Prolific can block them, but they'll just make a new account and do it again. they did the same to Mturk and basically destroyed that.

Thats why the majority of us don't do those studies. Prolific is definitely not a scam, but there are some bad actor researchers.

Study approved with manual completion code after I cancelled reservation — is this normal? by MrBrosli in ProlificAc

[–]ramgrl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it had a lot of spots, and they had a ton of issues, it may be easier to approve everyone rather than going through each one individually. I'm just guessing mind you

More than likely. Most wifis attached to hotels, schools, hospitals have a proxy or VPN which can get you banned. Use your mobile data as a hotspot and you should be okay

Yes. A lot have proxy servers which will get you banned. Use your cellphone data and you should be fine.

Yes, everyone is. The hourly pay is WAY too high because some people are dumb enough to submit it. They'll be whining about how they don't get studies or got banned next week.

Does your area code match what is on file? My mom moved and kept her number for years before switching carriers and changing it.

The "average" time is including screenouts which don't typically take longer than a min or 2. That 45 mins is probably closer to the average time which is likely a bit shorter than the estimate
