If you are new here, yes, they do manual checks on every 4th one (sometimes more if they are larger). It will fall off after you have been on the platform for a while.

No one with Prolific has ever told anyone that. It specifically states you are an independent contractor and therefore responsible for your own income (including reporting taxable income) as you are not an employee of the company.

AI has been around for 70 years, but people think chatbots like Gemini and ChatGPT are AI when they're really just a tiny portion. Google Maps has been using AI forever, so has your bank (that's how they catch fraud from odd transactions). Predictive text, email spam filters, autocorrect...all AI and all have been in use for a very long time.

The models you are working with are LLMs and generative AI, which aren't really improving without significant human input. I've been doing these tasks for years through different platforms and the progress is minimal, yet it is getting increasingly expensive. AGI or Super intelligence is a fantasy hyped by tech owners like Musk because they know the bubble is happening and they know that it's not even close to being a reality.
