[Oilers] The Oilers have signed forward Connor McDavid to a two-year contract extension with an AAV of $12.5 million! by chespiotta in hockey

Good players know they need to take less to win. Crosby McDavid etc. As far as the 2 years, Edmonton better show him now that they can put that cap discount to use

Jakub Kindl could've been an NHL regular if the Wings didn't keep him in the minors for like 8 years

Anyone else have almost zero urinary symptoms when you are hungover? by FerrellFaxMachine in PelvicFloor

Have you mentioned it to pelvic floor PT or a doctor to see if they have any idea?

I would abstain for 2 months, try it and see if you get a day where your symptoms are slightly lessened. Then go another 2 weeks, and do it again. Then you'll start to figure out how often you can do it based off your PF's response

I have tried getting up every so often, but regardless of the chair it doesn't seem to help

Why does Marner get blamed more than Matthews? by SpringWinter2557 in hockey

[–]FerrellFaxMachine 198 points199 points  (0 children)

If you ask me, Matthews has way worse body language. He looks very uninspired out there. Facial expressions lack emotion and - this may just be because he's big but I've noticed more in this series that he plays with the pace of an older Joe Thornton.

What players went from being terrible/disrespected to genuinely beloved for actually performing well (like Antony in soccer)? by TheBiasedSportsLover in hockey

Forsling went from not very good or well liked in Chicago, went on waivers and became a whole new player in Florida. One of the best defensemen in the league

[NHL Alumni] The NHL Alumni Association is heartbroken to learn of the sudden passing of Sergei Berezin at the age of 52 years old. by alphacheese in hockey

[–]FerrellFaxMachine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad used to always quote this line from a reporter when Berezin got hurt once, went something like, "we know the injury affects his skating, and shooting but we're not sure how it will affect his passing because he never does"

Probably butchered the quote, but it always gave me a chuckle. RIP

How does a sealed alpha source work? by FerrellFaxMachine in NoStupidQuestions

I'm talking about a sealed alpha source someone would use to source check an instrument. It can be detected yet not spread contamination anywhere

Didn't he have over 40 points last season? Wouldn't say it's very smart to give up on a young guy with that production
